Todd Tilghman announced on Saturday (July 25) evening the extension of his much-anticipated Pigeon Forge concert residency in front of a packed out crowd at the The Theatre Of The Stars (formerly known as Memories Theater).

“I am here tonight with this amazing audience,” Tilghman said in front of a cheering, socially-distant crowd. “To announce to the world that we are extending these shows here in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, at least until the end of October. So if you don’t have Halloween plans and I got to say as frustrating as it is and I know it’s a big inconvenience for a lot of people but I have to say I kind of hope that the mask orders hang out till Halloween cause that’s going to be interesting.”

“Anyway, that’s why I went live, I got this show to do,” Tilghman continued to explain. “I just did the opening song and I got the whole rest of the night, so I’m gonna hang up on y’all and hang out with these folks, Goodnight Facebook. Bye Bye.”

During his initial announcement of the July residency back in early June, Tilghman explained that all of the shows will be abiding by all CDC guidelines including masks and social distancing.

“The guidelines are all in place, don’t worry, I know all of you have all these COVID questions, chill, the people that are in charge of the theater have all of that and the theater will be handling all of that and they will be strictly following the guidelines that they have there in Tennessee as well as in that City.”

However, with that assurance, comes some restrictions which include limited capacity at the venue as they have to abide by the current guidelines which are at 50-60% capacity. So, Tilghman says if you want to go and see a live show of his, he recommends that you get your tickets quick.

“Again, remember whatever the restrictions are that are in place under the authority in that area, those restrictions will be upheld and I certain in the July shows that the theater won’t be full capacity, so basically where were at right now is that if you want to go to the show, you’re gonna want to get your tickets now as I think [we’re allowed] only 50 or 60 percent capacity.”

Tilghman is performing a variety of songs that include fan-favorites from his trek on The Voice, songs that mean a lot to him and move him and just other favorites of his.

The Season 18 winner of The Voice has been performing each Thursday through Saturday in July since July 2. The residency marked the first live shows from Tilghman since his trek on the singing competition show.

Tilghman was recently crowned the winner of The Voice Season 18 and is a husband and father of eight and is the lead Pastor of Cornerstone Church in Meridian, Mississippi.
