Tim McGraw is “so proud” of himself, his wife Faith Hill and his 1883 castmates for their latest achievement.
The “7500 OBO” singer took to Instagram to express his congratulations to his castmates after the Yellowstone prequel scored nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards.
“So proud of our @1883official team for their #emmy nominations!,” McGraw wrote. “Every single person that worked on that show put their heart and soul into everything they did day in and day out,” he added.
The Yellowstone prequel managed to snag three nominations at this year’s Emmy Awards. Both the pilot episode and season one, episode seven of the series received nominations for Outstanding Cinematography For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie. The series also received a nomination for Outstanding Music Composition For A Limited Or Anthology Series, Or Movie Or Special (Original Dramatic Score).
In celebration of the show’s recent achievement, McGraw, who played James Dutton, shared a few behind-the-scenes throwback pictures from filming 1883 to his Instagram account.
In the first photo, McGraw can be seen laying outside in the grass dressed in a war-era uniform. “Flashback to shooting #1883. Dang it was HOT that day!,” he captioned the photo.
A second photo shows an 1883 billboard featuring McGraw’s wife Faith Hill, who plays Margaret Dutton in the series. “Faith Hill is spectacularly good,” the billboard reads. McGraw reacted, writing that he was “so proud of [his] wife.”
Finally, in a third post, McGraw shared a featurette-style video of the 1883 set that gives fans an inside look at how the series is filmed.
“Reflecting back on all the hard work and enormous amount of talent we all got to witness in the making of #1883. Thanx to everyone who spent their Sunday nights watching with us!! Stream the whole season now on @paramountplus @1883official,” McGraw said.
Both McGraw and his wife Hill can be seen in the video.
In addition to McGraw and wife Hill, a few other country artists have either been offered roles or expressed their desire to appear on 1883 and its companion series, Yellowstone.
Lainey Wilson has signed onto season five of the popular series and will be playing a musician named Abby. Cody Johnson also recently shared that he had to turn down a role in 1883due to his tour schedule but would love to appear in the Yellowstone prequel in the future.
Fans who are eager for more of 1883 and Yellowstone, fortunately, don’t have to wait much longer for new episodes.
The next chapter of 1883 is set to premiere in late 2022, according to Horsey Hooves. The series will also be expanded in 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, the outlet indicated. Meanwhile, season five of Yellowstone is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 13.
