March is Women’s History Month, which is a special time for us to celebrate women, both past and present, and their contributions to society. For country superstar Thomas Rhett, one woman in particular has made countless contributions to his life, his wife Lauren.

Rhett shared that he is consistently inspired by his wife’s faith, philanthropy, patience and her willingness to always be open and honest with him when it’s needed. In fact, the “What’s Your Country Song” singer admits that what he admires and values the most about Lauren is her honesty and her willingness to tell him the truth. The hitmaker recalled that there was one time when he came off stage, and Lauren told him that he sounded flat when singing his hit song “Die A Happy Man.”

Thomas recalled that moment saying, “Well, she said that as a joke because most of the time after a show I always look at her and I always go, ‘What did you think?’ And like, that night, I knew that we killed it, like, it was just a good show. But I always wanna know her opinion, and she was like, ‘Oh, you were kind of flat.’ And then she started laughing. She was like, ‘Honey, it was great.’ But there are sometimes, those shows, where we both feel it, where I’m not on, or like something happened in the show where it just ruined me for the rest of the night. And I kinda like start to just close my eyes and sing songs and hope the rest of the show goes well, and those are the nights where Lauren goes, ‘Honey, you can’t let those things get to you because most of the time people don’t know if your E string on your guitar was out of tune. Only you know that, and only you can get in your head on that stuff.’ And so, it’s nice to have somebody to really kinda bring you back down to earth after a show.”

For Rhett who tends to be a worrier and someone who can get hung up on small things, he admitted that “It’s nice to have somebody to really kinda bring you back down to earth after a show.”

Additionally, Rhett is set to perform at Billy Bob’s Texas on May 6-8, which will mark his first live shows in over a year.
