The Castellows, a trio made up of three sisters named Ellie, Powell, and Lily Balkcom, showcase their talents with Ellie serving as the lead guitarist, Powell taking charge on the banjo, and Lily delivering powerhouse vocals. On Friday (Jan. 5), the Music Mayhem Artists to Watch in 2024 released a stunning new single, “I Know It’ll Never End,” and announced all the details for their debut EP, A Little Goes A Long Way.

Who are The Castellows?

Stemming from Southwest Georgia, sisters Ellie, Powell, and Lily had no intention on becoming country music sensations, but social media launched them into stardom nonetheless. After sharing covers of songs like “Fall In Love” by Bailey Zimmerman, “Jackson” by Johnny Cash and June Carter, and more via TikTok, The Castellows saw their videos gaining quite a bit of success, ultimately allowing them to tap into their true potential as a trio.

These days, the neo-traditional country music ensemble is signed with Warner Music Nashville/Warner Records. They dropped their debut single, “No. 7 Road,” on October 20, followed by “Hurricane” on November 10, and their latest single, “I Know It’ll Never End.”

New Single “I Know It’ll Never End”

Prior to the release of the buzzed-about new track, the trio took to Instagram to share their excitement.

“‘I Know It’ll Never End’ is out tonight at midnight, y’all! This song means so much to all of us. The third photo was taken on the night that we wrote this song. It was our third night in Nashville, and we were sleeping on blowup mattresses because we didn’t have beds yet. We were torn between writing a good old fashion love song and a song about our love for our country, so we did both. We hope y’all love this song as much as we do,” The Castellows gushed.

“I Know It’ll Never End” was co-written by two thirds of the band, Ellie and Lily Balkcom.

Debut EP, A Little Goes A Long Way, To Arrive On February 9th

The Castellows, credited with writing (or co-writing) six of the seven tracks, announced that their debut EP, titled A Little Goes A Long Way, is set to arrive on all music streaming platforms on February 9 via Warner Music Nashville/Warner Records. The project was produced by country music veteran Trina Shoemaker, who previously worked with artists such as Sheryl Crow, Nanci Griffith, Queens of the Stone Age and more.

Ellie, Powell, and Lily could not be more excited about the project. “We are extremely excited to release our first project for the world to hear on February 9!!” the trio wrote. “This collection of 7 songs mean so much to us, and we hope everyone loves them as much as we do. We have a lot more that we’re working on for the year to come, and we can’t wait for it all to be released!”

The EP contains previously released tracks such as “No. 7 Road,” “Hurricane,” and “I Know It’ll Never End,” as well as brand-new tunes, including “A Little Goes A Long Way,” “Heartline Hill,” “The Part Where You Break My Heart,” and “Cowboy Kind of Love.” The full track list is detailed below, revealing the writing credits for each song featured on A Little Goes A Long Way as well.
