Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay is officially a father of three!
Mooney and his wife Hannah Billingsley Mooney welcomed their third child on Tuesday, January 17.
The 31-year-old singer/songwriter took to social media on Friday (Jan. 20) to introduce his precious baby boy, Abram Shay Mooney, to the world with an adorable video.
“Grateful doesn’t begin to cover it, ❤️” he captioned the clip.
The clip features a shirtless Mooney sitting in a hospital chair, holding his new bundle of joy, singing “When I Prayed For You,” a tune that Dan+Shay recorded for the 2017 drama film, The Shack. Mooney gazed at his son in awe as he sang the heartfelt tune.

Shay Mooney’s wife, Hannah, also share the clip to her Instagram, which she captioned, “First song sang to the newest family member… Abram Shay, you’re so loved and so prayed over, baby boy. Thankful for all that God has done for us this week 🤍”

The couple first revealed that they were expecting via Instagram on Friday, Aug. 12, with a sweet video showcasing their sons’ reactions to the news.
In the clip, Asher, 5, appeared to be a bit upset that he wasn’t going to get a sister this time around but he handled the news well.
“Do you remember when mommy told you they were going to call us this week and tell us if we’re having a boy or girl? Do you think you’re going to have a baby brother or a baby sister?,” Hannah asks him. “I wanted a baby sister, so it’s a baby sister,” Asher quickly replies.
“Okay, will you be sad if it’s a boy?,” Hannah questions. Without hesitation, Asher says, “Yes, because I want a sister.”
Trying to let him down easy, the soon-to-be mother of three says, “Well, baby, it’s gonna be another baby brother.”
“I wanted a sister,” he responds.

The clip went on to show Hannah telling Ames, 2, the news. He was more receptive.
While the 2-year-old predicted it was a baby sister, he seemed to be excited to hear the news as he sweetly touched his mom’s belly to say hello to his baby brother.
After meeting through social media, Shay and Hannah immediately connected and began dating. Mooney proposed on August 9, 2016. In the midst of wedding planning, the couple learned they were expecting their first child, Asher James.

After welcoming Asher on January 24, 2017, Shay and Hannah tied the knot on Mooney’s family farm on October 20, 2017. Asher, who was 9 months old at the time, took part in the ceremony as did Dan Smyers, Mooney’s musical partner.
They later welcomed Ames Alexander on February 21, 2020.
