Shania Twain, 57, couldn’t be more impressed with Harry Styles’ vocal talents. So much so that she says she hopes to collaborate with the 28-year-old English singer-songwriter in the near future.

Speaking with Extra in a brand-new interview, Twain opened up about her wishes to duet with Styles, saying the two artists share a “natural” musical chemistry. Twain is currently in the process of working on her next album, and she noted the potential collaboration won’t appear on her highly anticipated upcoming project, but rather at a later date after she releases her collection.

“Not on the new album, but in the future, I would say ‘yes,’” she told the outlet.

The best-selling female country artist of all time also added that she intends on being persistent when it comes to reaching out to Styles to make the duet happen.

“I’m going to hold Harry to that,” she said. “I think we surprised each other with how natural it was, so I plan on doing that with Harry at some point for sure.”

In terms of being “surprised,” Twain was referring to her recent performance with Styles. Yep, that’s right. She has already joined forces with Styles in the past. The pair teamed up in the spring of 2022 for a special surprise performance during Styles’ headlining set at Coachella in Indio, Calif.

The show marked Styles’ first concert at the popular music festival, and he made sure to make it count! Folks seemed unaware of Twain’s contributions to the show as they let out deafening cheers once they heard Twain sing the famous lines in “Man! I Feel Like A Woman.” Twain and Styles shared vocals on the iconic hit while dressed in head-to-toe glitter outfits. Afterward, the stars pulled up a stool for a once-in-a-lifetime rendition of Twain’s chart-topping ballad, “Still the One.”

Styles shared with the crowd how fortunate he was to be able to share the stage with Twain. He also bragged about her voice telling audience members, “Now I have to tell you, in the car with my mother as a child, this lady taught me to sing. She also taught me that men are trash. But to you, for the memories you gave me with my mother, I will be forever grateful. This is very special for me!”

“I’m [at a] loss for words, I’m a bit starstruck … when I was writing this song, you were just a kid, so it’s kind of a dream and very surreal to be sitting right here, now, singing this song with you,” Twain replied.

More recently, Twain opened up about how working with Harry on a project “would be [her] dream” during an interview with Nancy O’Dell.

“A [collaboration] would be my dream, yes… I would love that. Put it out there. Make it happen. Absolutely, and magic will happen, I’m sure,” Twain said.

Harry has long been a fan of Twain having covered her songs during his live shows in the past. He also delivered a version of “Still the One” with Kacey Musgraves during a tour stop in 2017.

This isn’t the first time Twain has voiced her interest in duetting with Styles, either. She previously revealed the two are texting buddies and added that she would “love to duet” with the pop music sensation and former One Direction member.

“I’m a really big fan of Harry Styles, and he’s apparently a fan of mine as well. He likes to sing ‘Still the One,’ and he performs it sometimes in his live show, which is really cool and a huge compliment,” Twain said while appearing on an episode of Home Now Radio on Apple Music Hits.

“So, thank you, Harry,” she continued.” “You and I should definitely do a duet together. We could do a version of one of your songs. I love your music. We could do a version of one of my songs, or we could just write a song from scratch and go from there.”

For now, Twain is keeping busy promoting her most recent song, “Waking Up Dreaming,” which is all about following your dreams. The uptempo track is the first taste of what fans can expect from Twain’s forthcoming sixth studio album.
