Fans can now get a sneak peek of Dolly Parton’s highly anticipated new Christmas movie, Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas.

In a just-released preview clip, Parton shares how the project came about as she narrates over several never-before-seen clips.

“The name of the show is Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas,” the country music icon shares. “NBC wanted a special and I wanted to give ‘em one. I said, ‘Let’s do this at Dollywood because we’ve got the best singers, we’ve got the best bands, we’ve got the best dancers.”

She goes on to what fans can expect from the film.

“It’s the story of the behind the scenes of the making of a network special. It’s like a show within a show, a movie within a movie.” she explains. “It’s like really showing what can go wrong and what will go wrong. There’s so much drama and so much craziness.”

After introducing special guests Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmie Allen, Zach Williams and Miley Cyrus, Parton shares that the film is a true celebration of Christmas.

“I gave it all, I gave all of myself to this project. And wanted people o see my heart. I really believe that it’s gonna make a difference. I hope it will be long-lasting, but I certainly think that people are gonna feel better for a good while after this show is over. That’s what I’m hoping.”

Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas also features actors Tom Everett Scott, Angel Parker and Ana Gasteyer costarring alongside Parton.

The cast also includes Mary Lane Haskell, Bryan Batt, Brendan Bradley, John Newberg, Rachel Parton George, Cassie Parton Griffith, Rhoda Griffis, Liam Rauhoff and Steve Summers.

Premiering on December 1 at 8/7c on NBC, the two-hour holiday special will feature several songs that encapsulate the feelings of the holiday season. Parton’s iconic hits “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You” will also be included alongside a new Christmas melody that was made specifically for the movie.

According to a press release, David Rambo wrote and executive produced with Sam Haskell and Dolly Parton. Joe Lazarov directed and executive produced. Hudson Hickman also executive produced. Billy Levin and Steve Summers serve as producers.

Emmy Award-winning Kathryn Burns choreographed the musical numbers alongside assistant choreographer David Hull.

Warner Bros. Television produced in association with Magnolia Hill Productions and Sandollar Productions.

In addition to preparing for the premiere of Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas, the East Tennessee native recently released A Holly Dolly Christmas: Ultimate Deluxe Edition, featuring additional tracks and the previously unreleased song, “A Smoky Mountain Christmas.”

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year! A Holly Dolly Christmas Ultimate Deluxe is coming October 14th, and to celebrate, I’m sharing my previously unreleased track “A Smoky Mountain Christmas” today!” Parton shared on Twitter ahead of the release.

The digital project is available now on the singer’s website.

Additionally, Dolly Parton expanded her fragrance line with the launch of DOLLY: SMOKY MOUNTAIN Eau de Parfum, which is available exclusively via HSN.

At Walmart, fans can purchase DOLLY’s FRONT PORCH COLLECTION, which features four scents.

Her inaugural scent, DOLLY: SCENT FROM ABOVE, is available at Walmart, Walgreens, and Perfurmania.

“I am so happy about the embrace we’ve had with our Scent From Above fragrance launch last year,” Parton said. “That success has allowed me to experiment with new scents and bring different, inspiring fragrances into the world with the Front Porch Collection, which includes my Smoky Mountain fragrance. Nothing gets me more excited than to create something that brings people joy. And with this year’s new products, I drew on many of the memories from my youth to deliver a collection that I believe is really special.”
