Carrie Underwood recently made some renovations to her 400-acre Nashville farm.
The 40-year-old “Hate My Heart” singer and mom of two teamed up with Epic Gardening to build out the interior of her greenhouse, which wraps around her garden, and install a custom chicken coop.
Underwood showed Epic Gardening’s Kevin and Jacques around her property, giving them a tour of her greenhouse, garden, orchard, and more. Underwood also wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, helping Kevin and Jacques complete the project.
The Renovations
A couple L-shaped beds were added to the greenhouse to “maximize the space,” according to Hello Magazine. The beds joined previously installed long and short beds, the outlet indicated.
As for her custom chicken coop, Underwood said she and husband, hockey player, Mike Fisher “wanted it to match the house a little bit.” Underwood showed Kevin and Jacques her current set-up for her hens and one rooster, prompting them to remark Underwood’s chicken coop was “one of the cleanest coops” they’d ever seen.
Upon the completion of the project, Underwood took to Instagram to thank Epic Gardening for doing the renovations, including a series of photos of the work as a video, backed by her song, “Garden.”
“Obsessed with my new greenhouse. THANK YOU, @epicgardening, for being so kind and helping set everything up so perfectly!” Underwood wrote. “Watch the video of us putting it all together at the link in my story,” she continued, adding a plant emoji to the caption.
“This is what dreams are made of,” fellow country singer Lindsay Ell said, including a heart eyes emoji to her comment.
Underwood also teased the collaboration between her and Epic Gardening on Instagram while working with Kevin and Jacques on the project. “Got to work with the incredible @epicgardening to set up my greenhouse!,” Underwood said. “Check ‘em out!”
“My Happy Place“
Underwood is not shy about her love of gardening.
Back in July, the “I Hate My Heart” singer posted a video to her Instagram account, showing off various types of produce she’d grown on her 400-acre Nashville farm, including berries, squash, tomatoes, and peaches.
“My garden is one of my happy places…when I’m getting my hands dirty it’s my time for thought and reflection. Enjoy a little taste of calm…from my #Garden to yours,” she wrote at the time. Fans complimented Underwood on her impressive gardening skills, with one commenting, “is there anything you can’t do?,” and another sharing how she “loved learning [about] gardening” from the country singer.
“Designing Our Forever Home“
In addition, Underwood shared her essentials for designing her and Fisher’s “forever home” with Country Living back in 2016.
“My husband, Mike, and I are designing our forever home,” she told the magazine. “My must-haves are a wood-burning fireplace, a porch swing, and rocking chairs.”
The couple’s “forever home” features several bedrooms, including a master bedroom with its own walk-in closet, multiple bathrooms, living rooms, and a basement. Before designing their “forever home,” Underwood and her husband, Fisher lived in a $1.4 million, four-bedroom home in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood.
Gardening Aside
Besides gardening, Underwood just celebrated her oldest son, Isaiah’s eighth birthday. She also recently wrapped up her sold-out Denim & Rhinestones Tour with Jimmie Allen, and has plans to return to Las Vegas for her Las Vegas Residency, REFLECTION.
