Imagine tying the knot with the love of your life and getting your favorite country artist to be a part of the special day. Well, that just happened for one couple who became the lucky winners of the 92.5 XTU “Take The Leap” with a Leap Day Wedding contest, created, in celebration of Leap Day, which occurs once every four years.

Scotty McCreery Serenades Pennsylvania Couple At Wedding

Lisa and Kevin of Levittown, Pennsylvania, got the chance to say their vows and enjoy a wedding reception with Scotty McCreery in attendance after the proud listeners of the country music radio station were voted in by XTU Nation.

According to 925xtu.com, the now husband and wife put their names in for the prize with an entry that explained: “We’ve been together four years and have a beautifully blended family. He [Kevin] has an 11-year-old daughter, I [Lisa] have twin girls that are eight years old, and together we have an almost 2-year-old daughter.”

The couple, who won by a landslide, went on to say they met through one of Lisa’s best friends, an orthodontist, who was the middleman in helping the two connect.

“She gave him my contact info [to him], and here we are over four years later!” Lisa wrote in the original letter. “He told me he was going to marry me one day, and he knew what our wedding song would be. Turns out that song is Scotty McCreery’s “This Is It.” He said whenever he hears it he can see us dancing at our wedding.”

Before exchanging vows on Leap Day, Lisa and Kevin received the call of a lifetime when XTU informed them that they were chosen to walk down the aisle together.

“Oh my goodness,” Lisa said upon finding out the exciting news. “The kids are so excited. Every day, they kept asking, ‘Did you win yet? Did you win yet?”

Kevin added, “Oh my god, I don’t even know what to say.”

Philadelphia-Based Country Radio Station 9.25 XTU Coordinated The Wedding

The pair officially said their I do’s at XTU Studios on Thursday (Feb. 29), with the help of the Philadelphia-based station, who not only coordinated all of the details for the event but also officiated the wedding ceremony thanks to Jeff Kurkjan, co-host of The Andie Summers Show, who happens to be an ordained minister.

McCreery, who was performing at The Met in Philadelphia on the same night of the wedding, was on hand to not only sing his 2018 romantic hit, “This Is It,” along to Lisa and Kevin’s first dance, but he also belted out the words to his “It Matters To Her” and “You Time,” from his fifth studio album, Same Truck, released via Triple Tigers. Those performances held in the X Lounge can be seen in the videos below.

Coupled with McCreery’s live performance, Lisa and Kevin also enjoyed plenty of personal moments as their four daughters, Gianna, twins Leanne and Daphne, and youngest Emerson, played the role of flower girls dressed in all red. Gianna also assisted with passing out the rings. The couple’s cake was provided by Acme, while 1720 Bar & Restaurant did the catering for the event.

McCreery, who was recently invited to become the next member of the Grand Ole Opry, is currently on the road as part of his The Cab in a Solo tour, named after his single of the same name. The trek, which includes direct support from Anne Wilson and special guests Greylan James and Noah Hicks on select dates, runs through March 16 with a final stop at the Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, NY.
