Sam Hunt will no longer be performing at Boots & Hearts Music Festival 2022 in Burl’s Creek in Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

The “Water Under The Bridge” singer revealed the news in a statement to fans on Thursday (July 28).

“Unfortunately, due to ongoing government restrictions, Sam Hunt will not be able to perform at Boots & Hearts Music Festival on August 5th,” the statement read.

“We were hopeful these restrictions would be lifted as the date got closer, but it’s now apparent that won’t happen. Boots & Hearts music festival has secured a great replacement, and we all hope you can continue to have a great weekend in Burl’s Creek,” the statement continued.

Boots & Hearts Music Festival shared the news and announced that Jake Owen will now be headlining the festival on Friday, August 5.

Taking place August 4-7, this year’s Boots & Hearts Music Festival will feature 40 artists across four days.

Also confirmed to take the stage are headliners Shania Twain and Florida Georgia Line and special guests Lindsay Ell, Dustin Lynch, Niko Moon, Priscilla Block, Mackenzie Porter, Russell Dickerson, Morgan Evans, and more.
