Sabrina Carpenter In Super Bowl LX Pringles Commercial

Sabrina Carpenter is giving Super Bowl LX fans a treat! The pop superstar is making her Big Game commercial debut on Feb. 8, which is every bit salty and sweet.

Starring in an imaginative Pringles ad that’s dipped in affection, Carpenter is seen falling in ‘Love At First Bite,’ as the title suggests. Tired of the men she’s dated, she’s chosen to, instead, take matters into her own hands and build a boyfriend that’s intricately and artfully pieced together by Pringles chips.

Please, please, pleased by her life-sized creation, the “Espresso” singer then goes on a romantic adventure with her tasteful companion named Pringleleo. The pair is shown eating together during a candlelit dinner, flying a kite, and getting a spot on a kiss cam at a game. Things, however, take an unexpected turn when a rush of fans tackle the Pringled body to the ground before eating each chip, proving the popular long-running tagline “Once You Pop, The Pop Don’t Stop” still carries its weight.

Carpenter’s commercial debut marks Pringles’ ninth consecutive Super Bowl spot, and a 30-second version of the BBDO New York-created ad will air during the third quarter of the NFL showdown between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, according to The Hollywood Reporter

“Our iconic snack has been popping off in the Big Game for nearly a decade,” Mars Snacking senior VP Sarah Reinecke said in a statement. “This year, we’re bringing Pringles to life, almost literally, as Sabrina builds her beloved Pringleleo, and we’re honored to show the world their unexpected love story.”

“We hope snackers pop open their favorite flavor alongside Sabrina and experience their own love at first bite,” she added.

Michael Aimette, BBDO New York chief creative officer, meanwhile, opened up about the idea behind incorporating the brand’s mascot into a wild romance for the next Pringles commercial.

He said, “When you’re playing in a world as iconic and familiar as ‘Once You Pop,’ the fun is seeing how far you can take it. This spot taps into what makes Pringles unmistakably Pringles—Mr. P, the joy of stacking crisps—and then lets Sabrina Carpenter take it somewhere only she could.”

“She immediately got the joke and elevated it,” he continued, applauding Carpenter’s effortless comedic timing and take on the beloved game-day snack. “Making a love story built out of crisps feels pretty natural, all things considered.”

Carpenter isn’t the first celebrity to star in an ad for Pringles, but she certainly makes a strong impact, following in the footsteps of stars like Adam Brody, Nick Offerman, Chris Pratt, and more. Her flawless and cheeky energy turns a ridiculous premise into a mini-Hollywood spectacle, a kind of over-the-top entertainment fans are looking for when awaiting the new run of Super Bowl commercials.
