Ludacris In Super Bowl LX Frank’s RedHot Commercial

Ludacris is heating things up in a major way just in time for Super Bowl LX! The Grammy Award-winning rapper has been selected as the star in the latest Frank’s RedHot commercial titled “Eat The GOAT,” which also features a literal goat.

Ludacris, who dons a No. 1 jersey—a subtle nod to his early-2000s hit track “Number One Spot”—and fittingly the color red, gives viewers the urge to go out and get a bottle of their own Frank’s sauce as he admits, “I put that s—t on everything,” letting folks know there’s no need to pepper orders and appetizers with any other condiment.

The hilarious wing-filled ad is equal parts nostalgia and fun, showing that the only thing better than game-day snacks is the added sense of humor to go along with it. “This campaign is about bringing people together,” Ludacris tells PEOPLE of the light-hearted commercial, noting he’s been a longtime fan of Frank’s RedHot. “I put it on eggs in the morning. I put it on chicken, and not just chicken wings. All the chicken.”

“My wife [Eudoxie Bridges] is from Africa, so she’s definitely into the hot sauces,” he added.

From wings to fries to burgers, it’s clear Frank’s sauce is an immediate crowd pleaser. But, aside from that, the commercial offers a playful throwback to the Millennial-era with its hip-hop vibes. The clip also features a host of Ludacris’ longtime friends and collaborators, including Chingy, Shawnna, I-20, and DJ Infamous.

“It was like, ‘Man. Let’s just throw artists we have worked with in the past decades all together,” Ludacris says of how the ad came together. “That’s what made it even more special.”

For his part,  Chingy references his  2003 debut single, “Right Thurr,” asking in the clip, “That homey right thurr?” And then there’s George, the goat, who sports sunglasses and quickly steals the spotlight.

“Yeah, I was able to chill with him, take some pictures, pet him a little bit,” Ludacris says of the animal. “Obviously, I was a little nervous, you know, you never know when he’s going to try and buck somebody, but he was real laid back.”

“He participated and did everything he needed to do,” he added, per the outlet. “He was really easy to work with, man. I think his reputation in these streets is pretty stellar. I didn’t hear anything bad after I left either.”

Ludacris isn’t stopping at the commercial. For Super Bowl Sunday, he’ll be hosting at his Chicken and Beer restaurants in Atlanta and LAX.

“I’m inviting all the players that didn’t make it to the Super Bowl so that I can hear them talk smack about who actually did make it,” he jokes.

Super Bowl LX will take place on Sunday, Feb. 8, when the New England Patriots face off against the Seattle Seahawks. The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, with pregame coverage starting at 1 p.m. NBC will air the big game, and football fans can stream it on Peacock, NFL+, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, YouTube TV, Fubo, and DIRECTV.
