Riley Green is stepping off of the stage and baring it all as one of Gildan’s newest brand ambassadors, beginning his endeavor with the company on National Underwear Day a few months back.

Our quality basics and Riley’s chart-topping tunes are a match made in country heaven — one that formed naturally long before this partnership. Together, we’re a perfect harmony of comfort, quality, and values,” Gildan shared via Instagram on August 5, prior to diving into the details of the “Gildan x Riley Green” campaign, which included a flash sale, a giveaway and more.
Newest Gildan Brand Ambassador
Upon signing Riley Green as their newest brand ambassador, the President of Sales, Marketing and Distribution at Gildan, Chuck Ward, dished about how excited he is to have the talented singer-songwriter join the team.
“We are pleased to welcome Riley Green as our brand ambassador for National Underwear Day, and we are thrilled that he has chosen to wear our products on tour, on and off the stage, and through life’s essential moments… Live music is a passion for many of our customers, and it provides us a unique and memorable opportunity to connect with fans across the U.S.”

While the beloved brand has been sharing sexy snapshots of Green since National Underwear Day, as well as a commercial that left country music lovers across the globe drooling, it is inevitable that some of the revealing photos and videos may reach an audience that the “Different ‘Round Here” singer did not intend on… including his mom.

Riley Green’s Mom Karen Shares Her Reaction
After Green began his endeavor with Gildan, the country crooner’s mother sat down with the host of the Got It From My Momma Podcast, Jennifer Vickery Smith (who doubles as the mom to rising country star Conner Smith), to discuss her son’s provocative commercial with the company.
To the surprise of fans everywhere, her reaction was far more positive than expected: “I thought the video that they did was really cute and it captured his personality very well. Some of the still shots were maybe a little creepy. I don’t know, but I thought they did a nice job with it, you know, and if he’s happy with it, I’m happy with it.”
The duo then proceeded to discuss how being chosen to represent Gildan is a true honor, even though modeling for an underwear brand is a little bit more risqué than any mother would like to see.
“Anytime you have a company that says ‘We want you to represent our company,’ I mean, there’s some pride in that, right? No matter what it is,” Jennifer explained, to which Karen concurred.
She chimed in, “I agree with that, and I mentioned that to him, you know, ‘You’ve got a good reputation’ and that sort of thing.”
Nonetheless, it looks like Karen is supportive of her son regardless of what his dreams are, even though being an underwear model may not be at the top of her list.
