New Album From The Vault

The icon’s team along with his wife, Mary Travis recently held a press conference where they confirmed the 64-year-old North Carolina native will 100% drop a set of songs. The forthcoming album will mark Travis’ first body of new material since 2014’s Influence Vol. 2: The Man I Am, which was recorded before he suffered a stroke a year prior.

“The chances are 100%. It has already been mixed. Everything’s ready to go by Kyle Lehning, Randy’s producer ….,” Mary shared when asked if there was a chance of more never-before-heard “From the Vault” songs coming from Travis. “A whole other album of Randy Travis music.”

Randy Travis has been sidelined from performing on stage and recording new music since suffering a stroke back in 2013. Despite that, in recent years, a handful of “From the Vault” songs recorded by the Country Music Hall of Famer have been released, including “Fools Love Affair,” “One in a Row,” and “Lead Me Home.”

The press conference also came with the announcement of an upcoming show dubbed A Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis – One Night, One Place, One Time.

The upcoming event, organized by Outback Presents, will take place at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama, later this year and will feature an all-star lineup, with names to be announced in the coming weeks.

The celebrity list for the event will take the stage to honor Travis with live performances of his many No. 1 hits. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Randy Travis Foundation, which aims to spread awareness on stroke and aphasia victims and supports music education in schools.

Travis’ upcoming tribute concert follows a myriad of artist tributes that have included stars like Trace Adkins, Big & Rich, Jamey Johnson, Wynonna Judd, Tracy Lawrence, Lorrie Morgan, The Oak Ridge Boys, Brad Paisley, Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Gretchen Wilson and more.

“It is such a pleasure to have even a small part in an event that celebrates the accomplished life and career of Randy Travis,” David Lower, Outback Presents’ Booking Manager, shared in a press release. “The fans in Huntsville have such a love of country music and have been so supportive of the artists we have brought to town.
