After debuting her baby bump at Super Bowl LVII, Rihanna proudly showed off her pregnant belly while walking the champagne-colored carpet at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, (March 12) evening.
The “Love on The Brain” singer, 35, stunned folks while posing for photos in a partially sheer form-fitting black ensemble. The gown, designed by Alaïa, featured a mesh turtleneck, a leather bra and a mermaid style leather train. Rihanna paired her dress with drop earrings by Moussaieff High Jewellery and deep red lipstick. She also wore her hair up in a high bun.
According to PEOPLE, RiRi was late on arrival at the 2023 Oscars, but glowing, laughing, and having a good time. The pop superstar, who is already mama to a 9 month old boy, whom she shares with A$SAP Rocky (Rakim Mayers), did not bring her firstborn with her to the awards show.
Earlier this month, she revealed on Instagram that the little tyke, whose name has not yet been revealed to the public, would be staying behind. She also added a photo, showing his reaction to that news.
“My son when he found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him @theacademy #oscarnominee#oscarperformancein1week,” the nine-time Grammy-winning artist captioned a photo/video slideshow featuring her baby boy, whom she and A$SAP Rocky welcomed into the world in Los Angeles in May of 2022.
As previously shared Rihanna revealed she was pregnant with her second child during Super Bowl 2023 between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The announcement had people talking the next day since she was the artist who provided the entertainment for the Halftime Show.
Rihanna had her baby bump front and center throughout the 13-minute concert while wearing head-to-toe red and performing hits, “B— Better Have My Money,” “Where Have You Been,” “Only Girl (In the World),” “We Found Love,” “Rude Boy,” and “Work.”

The 2023 Oscars marks Rihanna’s first high-profile public appearance since the “big game,” which took place on Sunday (Feb. 12).
Going into the 2023 Oscars, Rihanna was up for an award for Best Original Song for her song “Lift Me Up.” She also performed the hit, which is featured in the soundtrack for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. For her awards-show performance debut, Rihanna opted for an outfit change, sporting a custom made crystal-embellished black bra and floral pants set while surrounded by a band of musicians. She also paired her look with elbow-length black gloves, De Beers dangling earrings, and a matching necklace.
A$AP Rocky, who attended the 2023 Oscars in support of his pop star wife, seemed overjoyed at Rihanna’s performance, lifting his glass in the air – a nod to her from the audience, as reported by PEOPLE.
Rihanna’s nod for Best Original Song marked her first nomination at the Oscars, but she didn’t win in her category. That trophy went to “Naatu Naatu” from RRR. Other nominations in the category for Best Original Song at the 2023 Oscars included, “Applause” from Tell It like a Woman, “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, and “This Is A Life” from Everything Everywhere All at Once.
The 95th Academy Awards aired live on Sunday, (March 12), at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
