Post Malone is giving back once again in a big way! On Saturday morning (Jan. 25), the 29-year-old singer, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, made a surprise visit to a Pizza Hut, located on Highland Drive in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, where he lives and has previously called “the most amazing place ever.”

Post Malone Stopped by Utah Pizza Hut At 9:30 AM On January 25

He arrived at the Pizza Hut bright and early at 9:30 AM, 30-minutes before the restaurant was officially open for business, and luckily the employee on duty was kind enough to serve him before opening. Kolby Aguila, a 20-year-old Manager at the Pizza Hut, greeted and was totally starstruck by the “Chemicals” singer.

“He came in before the store was opening, and I opened the store early for him because he’s a rockstar,” Kolby revealed to Music Mayhem before admitting, “I was starstruck it was so unbelievable.” But despite his excitement to see Post Malone, Kolby said he was a very down-to-earth, “genuine” and easy to talk to — so much so that he “felt so comfortable” around him.

Post Malone didn’t just stop by for a visit, he came to order some food. According to Kolby, he ordered three medium pan cheese pizzas, one large order of cheesesticks, and 24 extra crispy boneless, spicy chicken wings. While waiting for his food to be done, he chatted and hung out with Kolby and took photos with him and other Pizza Hut employees.

Left A Generous $1,200 Tip

“I was talking to him about life and how the experience of living his life was,” Kolby explained of their conversation. But the real surprise came when it was time for Post Malone to pay. After paying his bill, the award-winning singer/songwriter left a very generous tip of $1,200 for Kolby, whose currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business.

The tip left the Pizza Hut manager speechless and on the verge of tears. “I was almost in tears. I was so happy, and it was just so insane. It will help me out with bills that I need to pay, it helps out so much!” Kolby said of the generous tip Post Malone gave him.

When asked what he’d like to say to Post Malone if he ever sees this, Kolby’s response was simply, “I love you man, you appreciate the youth and love your fans, it’s a straight honor.” Kolby has been a longtime fan of Posty’s prior to this encounter with the 18-time GRAMMY nominee, who he called “a real life popstar.”

Not The First Generous Tip Post Malone Has Left

This isn’t the first time that Post Malone has gone above and beyond. In fact, recently on Christmas Eve he left a struggling single mother, who works as a bartender at a dive bar in Texas, a massive $20,000 tip during her shift that lead into the early morning hours of Christmas.

36-year-old Renee Brown was working a late night shift, struggling with the reality of being away from her 9-year-old daughter, Iliana, for the holiday, when the F-1 Trillion hitmaker made an unexpected visit to The Railyard in Houston, Texas. During his visit to the establishment frequented by Houston locals, Post Malone left the bartender a $20,000 tip.

“I immediately broke down crying. It was a very emotional night already being away from home, being swamped behind the bar, trying to process that they were even there and then the tip on top,” the Virginia native previously told Music Mayhem.

The tip was life-changing for Renee, as it provided her with some relief and stability she hadn’t experienced in many years. “This put me in a position to at least be able to get a way back and forth to work and pay up on rent and save a bit. I’m trying to save up to start a business, so I don’t have to continue working two jobs and be able to spend more time with my daughter. Things have been extremely difficult, and this was truly a blessing that I can’t fully put into words. The visit alone was absolutely amazing and something I could talk about and remember for the rest of my life.”

Openhanded When It Comes To Tipping

Post Malone is known to be very openhanded when it comes to tipping servers, bartenders and waitresses at establishments he visits. According to a Reddit user in the Subreddit r/Serverlife, he tipped a waitress $3,000 in September 2024, and she said, “been serving nearly 20 years and by far the best tip I have ever received. Such a genuine and cool dude.”

Another server commented on the Reddit post and shared that she received a huge tip from the singer before too, “I worked his birthday party this year, and he tipped each of us servers $1000, for maybe 5 hours of work and was ridiculously sweet.”
