If there is one thing to know about Doja Cat, it is that she is not afraid to take a risk on the red carpet.

Tonight at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), the talented singer-songwriter stepped out in a Halloween-esque dress that greatly resembled spiderwebs, showing a lot of skin and exposing a great deal of her curvy figure — talk about leaving little to the imagination!

Doja Cat paired her dress (or lack thereof) with pointed-toe pumps and tons of fun jewelry, as well as a massive spider earring to match her cobweb-looking attire. As for her oh-so bold makeup look, the rapper channeled the 1920s with white eyeshadow and thin eyebrows, as well as a blood-red manicure to complete her spooky ensemble.

“Stylist: Spiderman”

Despite being one of the first celebs to show up to the Prudential Center this evening, we already know that this look will be one of the night’s most notable — fans are already buzzing on social media.

“Happy Halloween,” @hollywoodpeezyy wrote.

“stylist: spiderman,” @afternessa wrote.

“Why wear clothes? Just go naked at this point. ‘So who are you wearing tonight?’ Spirit Halloween,” @Random_Avenger wrote.

“Did she get this from SHEIN,” @AuroraBarb9 wrote.

New Album, Scarlet

Despite the controversial dress that she wore on the pink carpet, this look is very on-brand when it comes to Doja Cat’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album, Scarlet, which is set to arrive just one week after the VMAs.

Fans have already suspected that Scarlet will have a spooky theme based on the lyrics, cover art and music videos for her pre-released tracks, “Attention,” “Paint The Town Red” and “Demons,” so we will just have to wait and see if the rest of the project stays true to this unique concept.

While Doja Cat is already a four-time VMA winner, and previously hosted the iconic award show back in 2021, she is nominated for five more “Moon Person” trophies tonight in some of the biggest categories: Artist of the Year, Video of the Year for “Attention,” Best Direction for “Attention,” Best Art Direction for “Attention” and Best Collaboration for “I Like You (A Happier Song)” with Post Malone.

To Perform At 2023 MTV VMAs

Aside from being one of the top nominees of the night, Doja Cat will also take the VMAs stage for an extra special performance. Will viewers get to hear a brand new track off of Scarlet? Only time will tell…
