Parmalee is teaming up with Jelly Roll on a new song called “Boots On Broadway.”

The group shared details about the new collab ahead of their performance at Country Thunder Arizona over the weekend.

Parmalee To Collaborate With Jelly Roll

“We got a brand-new song we’re playing. We did a song with our buddy Jelly Roll,” they told Audacy’s KMLE Country 107.9 (Phoenix). “We’re going to be debuting at Country Thunder today. So we’re doing that. We got some more songs we’re doing. It’s going to be fun! We got a lot of stuff coming out.”

Parmalee, composed of Matt Thomas, Scott Thomas, Barry Knox, and Josh McSwain, explained that they have known Jelly Roll for about a decade.

“We’ve been a friends like 10 years. He’s one of our first people we met when we moved to Nashville,” the band said. “He comes out of our house and our lawyer introduced us, and he rolls out there with a couple of his buddies. They [were] just fresh out too…[We were like] I don’t know if we going to write a song going to get robbed!”

According to the Parmalee, the collab will reportedly appear on their forthcoming new album, which will serve as the follow-up to their 2021 album, For You

Parmalee Opened For Jelly Roll In Nashville

This isn’t the first time Parmalee and Jelly Roll have worked together. The “Take My Name” singers previously had the opportunity to open for the genre-bending artist during his historic, sold-out Bridgestone Arena concert in December of 2022.

“We moved out here 10 or 11 years ago… Jelly was one of the first people we met. I will never forget he came to our house and we hit it off man,” the group recalled ahead of the Nashville concert. ”He’s just one of the sweetest guys out there. We kind of are musically outcasts in this town. It’s pretty awesome to see him doing this and inviting us out for this thing.”

“Girl In Mine”

Parmalee is currently climbing the country radio charts with “Girl In Mine.”

“Right before ‘Take My Name’ went number one, we wrote this song and we just had some great songs in the album, but we were like, you know what? This has gotta be next. It feels great, and the video was so much fun,” they recently told Country Now. “It just continues that direction that we’ve been going with ‘Just The Way’ and ‘Take My Name.’ I felt like it was a kind of the trilogy of those two.”

The group is currently in the midst of their 11-date headlining Take My Name Tour, which kicked off on February 2 in Champagne, Illinois. The trek will wrap up on April 22 in West Chester, Ohio at Lori’s Roadhouse.

Additionally, Parmalee is scheduled to perform at several festivals this summer, including Stagecoach, Cullman Strawberry Festival, Barefoot Country Music Fest, Country Thunder Saskatchwan, Country Thunder Wisconsin, Big Valley Jamboree and more. “The Backroad Baptism Tour is a big one for me, y’all! I’m bringing my friends out on the road this summer, and I can’t wait to see every one of you mutherf***ers at a show,” Jelly Roll shared.
