Parker McCollum earned two new RIAA certifications for his two chart-topping hits!
Ahead of his sold out concert at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville on Saturday (May 21), the country superstar and Texas native was presented with two RIAA plaques. The two plaques celebrated McCollum’s No. 1 hits, including “Pretty Heart,” which has been certified 2X Multi-Platinum and “To Be Loved By You,” which has been certified Gold. “Pretty Heart” and “To Be Loved By You” appear on McCollum’s major label debut album, Gold Chain Cowboy.
The two certification were presented to McCollum by RIAA’s Jackie Jones, members of his record label UMG Nashville, as well as Red Light Management.
“‘Pretty Heart’ went DOUBLE PLATINUM? And ‘To Be Loved By You’ went GOLD? How? Because I have the best fans in the world. End of story,” McCollum captioned a photo of him and his wife Hallie Ray Light McCollum on Instagram. “Y’all love these songs and I feel like maybe somehow they love you back.”
McCollum also teased a forthcoming new album in the works within the caption of the celebratory post.
“So stoked to get this new album out there,” he said, teasing fans about new music on the way. “I think y’all will love the new songs even more!”
“P.S. Hallie ray should get a plaque for To Be Loved By You for being angry at me the day I started writing that song,” McCollum added in the comments of the post, before his wife gushed, “SO PROUD!!! I love you so much. Let’s keep doing it!!!!”
McCollum also praised his record label and promised fans that this is only the beginning.
“What can I even say? I have a double Platinum hit and a Gold hit to start my career at the best record label in music,” McCollum said. “Universal Music Group Nashville/ MCA Nashville has been incredibly patient with me and allowed me to craft these songs the same way I always have. I am forever grateful for this opportunity to swing it in the big leagues of country music. We are just getting started.”
Next month, McCollum will make his debut appearance at CMA Fest in Nashville, where he will be taking to the Nissan stage on Sunday, June 12 at 7:00pm.
Additionally, McCollum will make his first appearance on the iconic music-television series “ACL Live” on July 26, 2022.
