For “hit your knees,” paris took girl power to a whole new level, with this hot new track being written, performed, produced, mixed and mastered entirely by women. Talk about making a statement!
For the brand-new song, the multi-talented artist partnered with legendary writer and producer Linda Perry, who doubles as the co-founder of EqualizeHer, “an initiative to achieve equal representation of women across all aspects of the music industry, from recording studios to stages to boardrooms.”
The organization provides resources to women so they can thrive in the music industry, all while simultaneously inspiring and supporting said individuals — it is truly a phenomenal platform.
All Female Production
Earlier this week, EqualizeHer took to Instagram to promote paris’ soon-to-be hit song.

paris first met the founder of EqualizeHer back in October at an event at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, where she served as a performer alongside up-and-coming female artists like Tinashe, Aimee Mann and more.
paris and Linda instantly hit it off, and the duo decided to team up again for “hit your knees,” a song created with the intention of amplifying EqualizeHer’s mission.
In an Instagram post earlier this week, paris shared, “last year I met @RealLindaPerry at an @EqualizeHer event at the troubadour in LA. I loved their mission to achieve equal representation of women across all aspects of the music industry. We teamed up to write and produce my new single ‘hit your knees.’ the single features an all-female production team, from the musicians performing on the track to the mixing and mastering of the song. Here is a sneak peek… song drops on 8/18,” once again reinforcing the female-centric nature of the track.
Touring With Incubus
Aside from helping with the creation of her brand-new single, EqualizeHer plans to “facilitate unique, firsthand experiences for young women interested in a music career with opportunities to go behind the scenes on paris jackson’s current tour with Incubus.
Those selected will learn about live music operations from many different professionals on tour – giving them priceless educational and inspirational experiences as they pursue their own careers in the music industry.”
