Noah Thompson is giving fans a taste of what’s to come on his forthcoming yet-to-be announced debut album with a teaser of a brand-new song.

The season 20 winner of American Idol took to social media on December 20, 2022, to share an unreleased tune called “She Gets It From Me.”

“I love this freakin song, I hope y’all do too!!” Thompson captioned the clip.

The video begins as Thompson tells his followers, “You guys have been asking for some new music and I just got this master back.”

In the clip, the 20-year-old Kentucky native is seen sitting in his car singing the below lyrics:

“Got that temper from her daddy / Her eyes from her momma / That tattoo on spring break down in Daytona / Gotta curve in her words / From growing up in Texas / Safe in her soul from that cross on her necklace / ohhhh if we’re going down that checklist / yeah, what I love best is / that stay out two lane ain’t a taste for good whiskey / laugh when it hurts and bad words when she’s tipsy / the hands she can hold in her life full of memories / Cause every wish, every kiss yeah she gets it from me / Day or night, rain or shine / yeah, she gets it from me.”

Noah Thompson Latest Single Is “Make You Rich”

Thompson recently released his brand-new single, “Make You Rich,” a tune that was co-written by Jason Nix, Craig Wiseman, and Driver Williams.

Make You Rich” finds Thompson being thankful for all that he has in life while remembering that no matter how wealthy you become, it’s always important to remain humble and value life’s most simple things.

“I’m from a small town in Eastern Kentucky and didn’t grow up with much,” Thompson previously shared of the track. “I’ve learned to value my friends and family so much more than the materialistic things we can have in life. I joke that I’m just a simple guy. I’ve also learned, even when life is tough, the more you give, and the more you love, the richer you are, and that is the whole meaning behind ‘Make You Rich.’”

“Be a better man than the old man was / Give a damn when nobody else does / Love your woman like you’re paid to / Like you ain’t afraid to / Like she was made for you / Be a good friend when a good friend needs it / Have a little faith when no one believes it / When it comes to love I’ll tell you this / You’ve got to give it like the givens gonna make you rich,” Thompson sings on the track’s chorus.

In addition to sharing the new song, Thompson also released a music video to accompany the track, which features him and his 2-year-old son, Walker.

Thompson filmed the music video for the tune in his hometown of Louisa, Kentucky. The clip finds Thompson wandering the streets where he grew up and seeing his name emblazoned on buildings throughout the small town. As the clip concludes, He and his son are seen walking through a field hand in hand sharing some quality time together as Thompson sings the tune.

Noah Thompson Credits His Son As His Reason To Keep Going

The Kentucky native dedicated his Idol journey to his son, often sharing, “I want my son to see that I am chasing my dreams, and I want him to know he can chase his too. I want to give my son a better life.”

Throughout Thompson’s time on American Idol, the “One Day Tonight” singer has credited his son as his reason to keep moving forward on his Idol journey.

“He’s my exact reason for doing this. I mean he is my motivation for all of it. He’s the thing I think about all the time and why I really wanna do this,” Thompson told Music Mayhem earlier this year.

The 2023 Music Mayhem Artist to Watch rang in the New Year with a massive concert alongside Chase Matthew, which marked Thompson’s first arena show to date.

“What a freakin way to end the year!! First arena show, when I seen all those lights I could’ve cried,” Thompson wrote. “Thank you all for such a great year, I seriously can’t say it enough. You guys have changed my life forever and I’m forever grateful for all of you!! Love y’all!! See y’all in 2023!!!”
