From finding love on a New York City stoop to celebrating 15 years of marriage, actress Nicole Kidman and Country megastar Keith Urban continue to support each other through life, kids, careers and everything in between.

“We’re very suited. I’m incredibly lucky to have met him. I met him later in life, and it’s been the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Kidman explained during a recent interview with CBS This Morning in regard to their relationship. “That man is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

They met in 2005, after some past relationships that didn’t work out led them to finding each other. One year later they were getting married in a beautiful Australian chapel. Going back to the start of their relationship, Kidman describes the fairy tale moment on her birthday that made her realize she had completely fallen for Urban.

“He sat on the stoop of my New York apartment. I came out at 5 [a.m.] in the morning, and it was my birthday, and he had flowers,” she recalled during an appearance on The Tonight Show. “And that was it. I was a goner.”

Despite both of them having very successful in their own independent careers, with Kidman in her acting career and Urban as an artist, they still find the time to appreciate and cheer each other on through it all.

“He’s just very supportive,” Kidman told Extra. “He’s in there going, ‘I believe you can do it. Go for it. What do we need to do to support you?’ Which is a fantastic partner in life.”

Kidman was previously married to fellow actor Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. Together, Kidman and Cruise had their now 26-year-old son Conor and daughter Isabella, 28. After marrying Urban in 2006, she had two more children, Sunday Rose, 13, and Faith Margaret, 11.

Urban chimed in during an interview with Universal Music Group to share his side of the ever-lasting love story between him and Kidman.

“[I’m] thankful that my marriage is just, it’s life-giving, not just life-changing,” Urban gushed. “It’s been life-giving for me. And from there, we created life, and that’s just beautiful, absolutely beautiful. And the effect that all of that has had in my work, has given life to it too, given it a sense of purpose and really deepened the experience for me.”

Last year the couple took to social media to share photos and loving words to each other in celebration of their 15th wedding anniversary.

Urban decided to share a clean-cut photo of his arms around Kidman looking as happy as can be in front of the Christmas tree while both of them have on festive pajamas. He wrote, “Happy anniversary baby girl !!!!!!! My life started when you said ‘I do’ 5475 days ago today ♥️♥️🌹🌹.”

His better half went for the more sensual image of Urban licking her neck with the simple caption, “Happy Anniversary baby! 💋💋💋”

These photos show just how unique they are in their own way and how well it works for them. “We’re a mix,” she said. “We’re very suited [for each other]. I’m incredibly lucky to have met him.”

While Kidman continues to bask in the glory of her lead role as Lucy in the new movie, Being The Ricardos, Urban is tackling a busy schedule with the preparations for his spring shows in Las Vegas and rejoining the singing competition, The Voice Generations, as a judge.
