This year rings in the 15-year anniversary of the group’s curtain-drop reveal of their reunion on April 4, 2008, on an episode of the TODAY Show that was met with ear-splitting cheers from the surprised crowd. Since their exciting reunion, the New Kids have set out on various sold-out world tours and cruises with fans. Their most recent trek, The Mixtape Tour, kicked off on May 10 in Cincinnati, OH at Heritage Bank Center and continued on through late July 2022, where the tour wrapped up in Washington, DC at Capital One Arena on July 23.

“We had a blast out on the first MixTape Tour in 2019, and can’t wait to take it to another level with our fans on the MixTape Tour 2022,” Donnie Wahlberg previously shared of the tour. “Just like a mixtape, these shows are going to take audiences through all the emotions. To be able to have Salt-N-Pepa come back and now also have the iconic and legendary Rick Astley & En Vogue join the tour… we could not be more excited. Let’s GO!”

The tour also featured special guests Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley and En Vogue.

While the New Kids have spent their fair share of time on the stage, BLOCKCON will be the first fan convention where blockheads can gather to spend an entire weekend with the international chart-toppers.

“We’ve done almost every event imaginable with our amazing Blockhead Family over the last 15 years — from cruises to concerts to town hall meetings — but nothing quite like BLOCKCON! Spending three full days with them, while hosting a convention crafted especially for them (including multiple events that will give us the best opportunity to connect with all of them), is the perfect way to celebrate this reunion that has meant so much to us all,” said Wahlberg.

Fans can experience BLOCKCON with the purchase of either a Block Party Ticket Package that includes access to all events and activities during the weekend-long BLOCKCON or a Full-Service VIP Package that secures fans the best seats at all Rosemont Theatre events, entry to VIP areas during the NKOTB Prom theme party, access to the Sunday farewell event and more. For out-of-town attendees, BLOCKCON has arranged for discounted rates at hotels near the venues.

Saturday panel and event schedules, guests and more details will be announced in the coming weeks.
