Grammy-nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE are back with their ninth studio album, CAVES.
Due September 15, the forthcoming project will encompass the group’s special fusion of modern rock, soul and intoxicating mainstream appeal.
The band gave fans a taste of what’s to come with the release of single “The Cave” from the unreleased project. “The Cave” dives into the inherent want of self-discovery and the urge to break free from the pressures associated with modern life.
The track embodies this complex idea with lyrics, “There’s so much loneliness / In everyone around you / I ran away to keep my head / From getting cloudy / Oh, I spent some time in a lonely place / But I’m only getting clearer / Need some time to be on my own / In a world without a mirror.”

“Sometimes the things you’ve done in your career, the highs and lows that you’ve experienced, create a shadow that you just can’t break free from,” explained NEEDTOBREATHE. “In order to write new songs that still matter to people, we had to move away from the identity of what others think we are and into the freedom of who we are becoming.”

The dynamic single offers listeners a sneak peak of what to expect from the collection of breathtaking melodies, impressive instrumentation and unstoppable energy, paving a new path for NEEDTOBREATHE.
“We always believed we could make a record that would feel at home on the world’s biggest stages,” continued the band. “It was important to us to prove that we could. This is the most ambitious record we’ve made in a really long time.”
Caves
Written in two phases post-pandemic, CAVES solidifies NEEDTOBREATHE’s genre-defying appeal. Special guests such as country megastars Carly Pearce and Old Dominion, Northern Irish Foy Vance and alternative rock band Judah & The Lion make an appearance on the highly-anticipated project.

Fans of the band can hear tracks from CAVES live during The CAVES World Tour, slated to begin on Oct.13 in Savannah, GA. The trek will hit major cities including Tulsa, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Boston and more before wrapping up on Nov. 18 in Atlanta, GA. Special guest Judah & the Lion will join the band for the exciting tour.
