Morgan Wallen’s sophomore project just hit a new milestone!

The East Tennessee native’s sophomore project, Dangerous: The Double Album (via Big Loud/Republic Records), was certified 2X Multi-Platinum by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) on Friday, November 19.

The certification means that the chart-topping double album has sold over two million equivalent units since its release on January 8, 2021. The project previously reached Gold and Platinum status by the RIAA on July 13, 2021.

A 2X Multi-Platinum certification recognizes that an artist’s song or album has sold over 2 million US units, a US unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

The 30-track project, produced by Joey Moi, features his latest single “Sand In My Boots,” as well as fan-favorite hits like “Wasted On You,” “7 Summers,” “More Than My Hometown,” “Cover Me Up,” “865,” “Somebody’s Problem” and more.

The project was also recently nominated for CMA Album Of The Year, but lost to Chris Stapleton’s ‘Starting Over.’ Wallen is also nominated for Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Album at the upcoming 2021 American Music Awards.

Additionally, Wallen will be returning to the road early next year on a massive headlining arena tour dubbed The Dangerous Tour.

The country hitmaker will embark on  a massive 46-city arena tour in support of the chart-topping project dubbed The Dangerous Tour, which will kick off on February 3, 2022, in Evansville, Indiana, and will also feature his friends and labelmates HARDY and Larry Fleet.

The tour will make stops throughout the U.S. through August and will include venues such as Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The official tour announcement comes after a successful run of headlining shows for Wallen.

The just-announced arena tour marks Wallen’s first official headlining tour since 2020s Whiskey Glasses Roadshow.

In addition to several previously announced arena shows and the just-announced headlining trek, Wallen is set to headline various festivals throughout the United States in 2022, including Country Thunder in Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida and more.
