Morgan Wallen has officially unveiled the full track list for his 37-song album, I’m The Problem, and it includes a star-studded list of duets. After teasing fans with song titles during appearances on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, the 31-year-old country superstar has officially unveiled the full track list for his highly anticipated new album.
In addition to announcing the song titles for his fourth studio album, Wallen also debuted his list of collaborators on the project, which include his musical hero Eric Church, Post Malone, Tate McRae, as well as his longtime friends and frequent collaborators HARDY and Ernest.
Morgan Wallen co-wrote 22 of the 37 tracks on I’m The Problem, which will arrive on May 16 via Big Loud/Mercury. He collaborated with 49 songwriters to craft a track list that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable, reflecting on life events from a fresh perspective compared to his past work.
“A lot of the concepts and things we said were a little more difficult with this album,” Wallen shared of the songwriting process. “We were trying to dig deep on things and trying to find new angles. And I feel like we did that. I feel like there’s a lot of stuff that I haven’t said in this record, which I’m really, really proud of.”
I’m The Problem will combine Wallen’s country and dirt-rock influences. The award-winning singer/songwriter worked with producers Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome on the project, and spent nearly a year writing and finetuning the album’s track list just outside of Nashville on his farm. For Wallen, the process was a time of reflection, allowing him to take stock of where he’s been and where he’s going—without avoiding the past.
Wallen continued, “I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that, but there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”
