Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous is sitting at No. 1 for an eighth week!
According to Billboard, Dangerous is now one of only six country albums that have spent at least eight weeks in total at No. 1.
“The record breaking album has earned 82,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending March 4 (down 7%),” according to MRC Data.
Billboard also reported, “the album ties Taylor Swift’s Folklore for second-most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the last five years, among albums of all genres. Each has tallied eight weeks at No. 1. Drake’s Views has the most weeks at No. 1 in the last five years, with 13 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 (all in 2016).”
Dangerous has already made history as it became the first country album to spend its first seven weeks at No. 1 in the 64-year history of the Billboard 200, now extending its record this week as it sits atop of the charts for an eighth week. In term of overall weeks at No. 1, Dangerous is only the sixth country album in history to reign for eight or more weeks. It’s the first to hit the eight week mark since Taylor Swift’s Fearless in 2008/2009.
