Morgan Wallen and his son, Indigo (Indie) Wilder, spent some quality father/son time together this weekend and in true football season fashion, the pair rooted on their favorite teams – the University of Tennessee Volunteers and the Tennessee Titans.

Despite both teams being defeated – the Vols fell to Pittsburgh 34 to 41 and the Titans succumbed to the Arizona Cardinals with a score of 38 to 13 – Wallen and Indie made the most of the situation and the “More Than My Hometown” singer documented their special time together on Instagram.

“Smiling through the pain that is the whole state of Tennessee football,” Wallen captioned the adorable photos.

Wallen’s weekend with Indie came just days after his official return to the stage when he hosted the Morgan Wallen & Friends benefit concert in support of of those impacted by the recent devastating flooding in Middle Tennessee.

The East Tennessee native was joined by Dierks BentleyHARDY, Cole Swindell, Lainey WilsonJosh ThompsonERNEST, Ben Burgess, Jared Mullins and Lathan Warlick at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works for a sold-out show that raised over $725,000 for The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund.

The money raised will immediately assist victims of the recent severe storms and flooding in Humphreys County and other parts of Middle Tennessee.

“Well first of all, thank you guys so much for being here,” Wallen shared during the show. “Most of you probably know that I’m a Tennessee boy. I was born and raised in Tennessee and I’m proud of it. The people here mean so much to me and I was watching the news and reading some articles and I read some stories that really touched my heart and made me feel like it could’ve been my hometown. I wanted to do something about it… Just seeing people hurtin’ man, nobody likes to see that and we’re going to try to do something about it tonight.”

Wallen is officially back at country radio with his latest single, “Sand In My Boots.”

The song is feature don his sophomore project, Dangerous: The Double Album
