Close your eyes and imagine receiving a piece of country music history by an ultimate hitmaker… Now open them – this memorable moment has actually happened to “Broadway Girls” singer, Morgan Wallen.

During a discussion with comedian, Druski, on Behind The Vest with Druski, the “Sand In My Boots” singer revealed that he received a gift from Luke Combs that he cherishes. The gift was given to him at the end of Combs’ headlining Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour, a trek which Wallen served as direct support on in 2019.

“How many guitars do you own, and which one is your favorite,” co-host Crystal Mais asked Wallen during the hour-long chat.

“I don’t have that many guitars. I probably got about ten, something like that,” the East Tennessee native quickly replied with a laugh. In fact, he shared that there was a one-string guitar that holds a special place in his heart, as it symbolizes a career milestone.

“I got an old Gibson that’s really nice. One of my buddies, Luke Combs, actually brought it for me at the end of our tour that we did in 2019,” Wallen confessed before sharing the rich history behind it.

The Gibson wasn’t just a brand-new guitar that Combs purchased – it was actually the guitar used to record Brooks & Dunn’s “Believe.” The fan-favorite track by the iconic duo is the second single from their album, Hillbilly Deluxe.

“‘Believe’ by Brooks & Dunn, the guitar parts on that song were recorded on this guitar. That I have now,” Wallen shared. “There’s still a note in the guitar case that kind of lets you know the history behind the guitar. And that it was played in those parts and stuff like that. So, that’s probably one of my favorite ones.”

After hearing the story behind the legendary instrument, Mais began to question the price tag for the item. “That’s definitely expensive,” shared the co-host. “Yeah, it’s definitely up there. I didn’t even ask him how much he paid for it,” the chart-topping country artist replied.

After wrapping up the surprising conversation about Luke Combs, Wallen did not fail to complement his happy-go-lucky character. “He’s a good guy, no doubt,” he acknowledged.

While it is unclear if the “Wasted On You” singer will be breaking out the antique on his upcoming headlining tour, we know for sure that he will be creating history of his own. Wallen will embark on his 54+ date Dangerous Tour, which is already sold out in most markets.

Country music fans can listen to the complete Morgan Wallen discussion on Druski’s Clubhouse HEREBehind The Vest with Druski features new guests each week and airs every Wednesday at 10 pm EST.
