Morgan Wallen is now eligible for several awards at this year’s CMA Awards, with the exception of Entertainer and Male Vocalist Of The Year, according to CMA spokesperson Catharine McNelly.

The Country Music Association announced the ballot scheduled for the 55th Annual CMA Awards, which is slated for this November. According to Music Row, the CMA Board Of Directors voted to amend Wallen’s 2021 CMA Awards eligibility.

The Board Of Directors decided that the “Sand In My Boots” singer is able to be nominated for awards that recognize his musical work, including Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year and more, “so as to not limit the opportunity for other credited collaborators.”

CMA amended Wallen’s eligibility to allow for his collaborators to have opportunity for nominations. However, is ineligible to be nominated for awards that recognize the artist individually like Entertainer Of The Year and Male Vocalist Of The Year.

The Country Music Association will release the first ballot for the 2021 CMA Awards on July 6.

Additionally, Wallen recently returned to the stage in Nashville at Kid Rock’s, where he performed three songs including “Wasted On You,” “Whiskey Glasses” and “Sand In My Boots.”
