Morgan Wallen‘s Morgan Wallen Foundation is giving back once again, partnering with CVS Health Charity Classic to provide grant funding to the Red Sox Foundation that will help facilitate a comprehensive renovation of the Howard Playstead Fields (Playstead Park) in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Donation Comes After Three Sold-Out Shows At Fenway Park

The donation celebrated three consecutive shows by Wallen at Boston’s Fenway Park as part of his One Night At A Time World Tour.

Playstead Park is home to the Lawrence Red Sox Foundation Nike RBI program, which was launched in 2022 and works to revitalize baseball and softball in the Lawrence community by offering accessible and affordable baseball experiences to local youth with an ultimate goal of increasing youth participation levels.

The contributions from MWF and CVS Health Charity Classic will improve programming for youth baseball and softball leagues across Lawrence, helping to enhance the overall conditions of the fields and create an environment that fosters skill development, teamwork and camaraderie among the youth participants.

“Our goal with the Morgan Wallen Foundation is to be sure that kids have access to sports and music programs,” Wallen said in a statement.

He continued, “I played baseball most of my life. It’s where I learned perseverance, patience, sacrifice, among many other things that I carry with me to this day. We are honored to partner with the Red Sox Foundation to renovate these ballfields in Lawrence. Where kids for generations to come will learn similar qualities and hopefully become good ball players in the process. And I couldn’t be more excited to play three shows at Fenway. It’s a dream come true for this baseball player.”

Made Several Other Donations This Year

Wallen’s foundation has made several similar donations this summer, including a collaboration with Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association Youth Development Foundation (MLB-MLBPA YDF) and local benefactors to form a partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville.

The MLB-MLBPA YDF and the Morgan Wallen Foundation each donated $500,000 to the project, which aims to spearhead rejuvenation efforts of the Parkwood Community Club, a historic complex for Black baseball and softball located in North Nashville.

When Morgan Wallen performed back-to-back nights at Chicago’s Wrigley Field in June, his foundation and the Cubs Charities donated a combined $250,000 to support the revitalization of South Chicago’s Bessemer Park baseball field.

In March, the singer performed a surprise show at his alma mater, Gibbs High School, donating $35,000 to the school on behalf of The Morgan Wallen Foundation to go towards instruments for the choral and band departments and a new field cart for the baseball field, where Wallen played his show.

What Is The Morgan Wallen Foundation?

The Morgan Wallen Foundation is a way for Wallen to give back in areas that helped shape him; sports and music. The foundation aims to support programs for youth in both areas and supporting communities in times of need.

The foundation is primarily funded by Wallen and consumer donations, and the three dollars from every concert ticket the ACM winner sells go toward the foundation’s work.

“The Morgan Wallen Foundation combines my love of sports, music and community service,” Wallen shares on the foundation’s website. “Without sports and music, I don’t know where I’d be. I know my life would look a whole lot different, so I want to give great opportunities to kids in these areas. In addition, MWF lends a helping hand when we see communities in need.”
