Morgan Wallen is already a winner ahead of tonight’s 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards!
The country superstar took home the award for Country Artist Of The Year at this year’s award show. Unfortunately, Wallen is currently on his massive One Night At A Time World Tour in Australia, so he was unable to attend to accept in person. However, the “You Proof” singer was on hand virtually to deliver an acceptance speech.
“What’s going on iHeart. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there tonight. I’m in Australia on tour. This is our first time headlining over here. So we’ve had a great time and super proud of what we’ve got to accomplish. I actually spent about two hours today trying to dunk a basketball today over here. That’s not why I’m not there, but I did not accomplish that,” Wallen began in the clip.
The East Tennessee native then graciously thanked his loyal fans for their endless support as well as all of those who continue to support him.
“I want to say thank you to my fans first and foremost for making this possible, you guys blow my mind every day. Thank you to iHeart for playing my music. Thank you to everyone who just stays and continues to be in my corner,” Wallen continued. “I just really appreciate it. Thank you for making me the iHeart Country Artist Of The Year, it’s an honor and a privilege and we’ll see you next time!”
