Miranda Lambert had heads turning on the red carpet at the TIME100 Gala, sporting a black gown and stunning diamonds for the black-tie affair.
The country superstar had her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, by her side at the gala, which was held in celebration of the world’s most influential people.
McLoughlin sported a traditional black suit and tie, perfectly pairing with Lambert’s custom Christian Siriano gown.
Lambert, who was included on the list for the time this year, says the honor came as a complete surprise.
“It’s a huge deal to me. I was actually shocked, but I’m so thankful to be a part of this and know all the work I’ve done over the last 20 years in this industry has gotten me here and I’m doing some change for good,” Lambert told TIME ahead of the gala.
As an artist who is known for her authenticity, Lambert said she hopes to continue country music’s tradition of being “three chords and the truth.”

“That’s what country music is,” she explained. “And that’s all I’ve ever wanted to do I’m one of the lucky ones who’s gotten to do this for almost two decades now in country music, so I’m just going to continue to share my message and hope it helps others.”
During the star-studded gala, attended by fellow honorees Mary J. Blige, Amanda Seyfried, Simu Liu, and more, Lambert performed the fan-favorite track, “Actin’ Up,” from her new album, Palomino, and the emotional “Tin Man” from her ACM Album of the Year winning album, The Weight Of These Wings.
