Miley Cyrus is back and better than ever, stepping out at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards in a stunning gold ensemble that left little to the imagination — designed by John Galliano for Maison Margiela — ultimately marking her first red carpet appearance in quite some time.

Debut New Hairstyle, Donned A See Through Gold Dress

The eight-time GRAMMY nominee was glowing as she walked the GRAMMYs red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, rocking a head-to-toe gold look that consisted of a metal mesh dress with safety pin accents, as well as matching panties and heels. To accompany the outfit, Cyrus debuted some voluminous, curly locks — as well as a bronzed, metallic makeup look — all while leaving her tattoos on full display.

Despite not having her boyfriend — Maxx Morando, the former drummer of punk rock band The Regrettes — by her side as she walked the red carpet, Miley was all smiles nonetheless, nominated for six awards this evening: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Flowers,” Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for Endless Summer Vacation, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Thousand Miles” with Brandi Carlile.

Delivered Epic Performance Of “Flowers” During GRAMMY Awards

To top it off, Cyrus later took to the stage to perform her smash hit “Flowers,” marking her first time performing the tune on television since its release in January of 2023.

This performance of “Flowers” featured Cyrus in a bedazzled silver outfit, where she took on some stellar choreography and lyric changes, even shouting “Why are y’all acting like y’all don’t know this song?” after a presumed lack of energy from the attendees at the Crypto.com Arena.

Concluding with a dramatic mic drop and a sexy strut off the stage, this was not the only moment from Miley Cyrus at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards that had viewers across the globe talking.

Wins First-Ever GRAMMY Award For Best Pop Solo Performance

Prior to taking the stage to perform “Flowers,” Miley Cyrus accepted her first-ever GRAMMY Award for Best Pop Solo Performance for the tune.

Upon accepting the trophy at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, Cyrus found herself starstruck as the iconic Mariah Carey announced her win, gushing that “This MC is gonna stand by this MC” while she accepted her award, because the duo is “just too iconic.” She then proceeded to share an extremely personal story that left the star-studded crowd — consisting of artists like Jelly Roll, Peso Pluma, Olivia Rodrigo, and more — tearing up, all while standing alongside Carey herself.

“There was a little boy that all he wanted for his birthday was a butterfly, and so his parents gave him a butterfly net, and he was so excited. He just went outside, out in the sun, and started swinging and swinging, but with no luck [and] he sat down on the ground, he finally let go, and he surrendered… [He] was okay that he wasn’t gonna capture this beautiful butterfly, and right when he did is when the butterfly came and landed right on the tip of his nose,” she shared with a smile.

Cyrus concluded, “This song ‘Flowers’ is my butterfly. Thank you,” garnering a roar of applause.

2024 GRAMMYs

Aside from Miley Cyrus’ performance, SZA, Billie Eilish, U2, Dua Lipa, Joni Mitchell, Olivia Rodrigo, Burna Boy, Travis Scott, Luke Combs, Tracy Chapman, Billy Joel, and more chart-topping superstars also took the stage, and individuals like Christina Aguilera, Samara Joy, Lenny Kravitz, Maluma, Lionel Richie, Mark Ronson, Meryl Streep, Taylor Tomlinson, Oprah Winfrey, and more served as presenters.

Hosted by comedian and former host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah, the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards aired live on CBS Television Network from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, February 4 at 8 PM EST. The show will also be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
