Prior to the Great American Race, Luke Combs entertained thousands of fans during his pre-race concert in Daytona Beach, Florida on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 20).
Live from the sunny raceway at The Daytona International Speedway, Combs performed his latest chart-climbing single, “Doin’ This,” among other songs such as “Forever After All” and “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” The performance marked Combs’ second consecutive year performing at the most prestigious race in NASCAR. The Daytona 500 also serves as NASCAR’s season opening event.

“After we did Daytona last year, everyone was like, ‘Wish you could be here and see it when it’s at its best, when the whole thing’s going on,’” Combs recalled during a press conference prior to the race on Sunday (Feb. 20). “So that was something I was adamant about wanting to do, and thankfully they had us back.”
Combs continued to share, “It was always something that I loved. And country music and NASCAR, man, it just kinda goes together.”
After chatting with the media, NASCAR gifted Combs an honorary Daytona 500 guitar by Daytona track President, Frank Kelleher.
“You’re welcome here anytime man, so, on behalf of the France family and everyone at Daytona, this is for you brother,” Kelleher told the country superstar as he handed him a commemorative guitar.
Following Combs’ pre-race concert, country icon Trace Adkins took to the raceway to deliver a stirring rendition of the National Anthem. Football Hall of Famer, Charles Woodson, served as grand marshal for the race event.
The Daytona 500 aired on Sunday, February 20 at 2:30 PM EST on FOX.
