Is Luke Combs teasing a tour with Jordan Davis? Fans seem to think so.
The country superstar and North Carolina native took to social media on Monday evening (April 25) to share a video of himself covering Davis’ multi-week chart-topping hit, “Buy Dirt,” a duet that originally features Luke Bryan.
Combs cover of “Buy Dirt” amassed millions of views across his various social media accounts and even earned praise from Davis.
“Damn, I thought I sang this one pretty good… You crushed this buddy, thank ya 👊,” Davis commented on the clip.
Several fans took to the comments of the post predicting that Davis will join Combs on a tour in the near future.
“$10 says he’s going on tour with @jordandavisofficial 💪🏻🔥🤞🏻,” one fan commented on the clip, while another added, “Omg are we getting a f**king tour ANNOUNCEMENT!”
“Friday, tour announcement feat Jordan Davis and whichever artist he covers next ,” a fan guessed, and someone else commented, “Maybe a hint at the opener for his next tour…?”
Another excited fan then predicted, “OMG I knowwwwww this means the tour announcement is coming! 😮💨😮💨😮💨.”
Combs is known to tease tour announcements by covering the supporting acts’ songs on social media ahead of unveiling information about the tour.
He previously announced his stadium tour with Cody Johnson, Zach Bryan and Morgan Wade, with each of the artists covering one another’s songs on social media.
In 2019, Combs’ Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour was announced when he covered Morgan Wallen’s If I Know Me, while Wallen shared a performance of “She Got The Best Of Me.”
Combs recently announced plans to release his long-awaited new album, Growin’ Up, on June 24. The project marks his third studio album and will feature 12 tracks.
Growin’ Up is the follow-up to his chart-topping, 2x Platinum 2019 album, What You See Is What You Get, and the 2020 deluxe edition of that dubbed, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get.
Additionally, Combs is expecting his first child with wife Nicole Hocking Combs in the coming weeks.
