Luke Bryan is known for his dance moves on stage, more specifically his hip shaking, and his wife Caroline Bryan is also a big fan of him shuffling around onstage.
“She’s Never Gotten In The Way”
During a new interview with PEOPLE, the country star was asked about his wife Caroline’s opinions on his famous moves, revealing that she’s never put a stop to any aspects of his performance.
“If she would’ve shut down the hip-shaking, it would’ve been a little problematic,” Bryan joked. “But she’s always had a fun outlook. She gets that people come see me to party and let loose. She’s never gotten in the way of that or put handcuffs on how I perform.”
Bryan and Caroline married in 2006 and share sons Tate, 13, and Bo, 15, and support their nieces Jordan, 28, and Kris, 25, and nephew Til, 21.
“Our house is full of a lot of energy and a lot of people coming in and out and friends and family,” Luke Bryan shared. “My wife’s brother and his two young children are in the pool every day, learning to swim,” he says. “My wife and I are always looking out the window going, ‘Whose vehicle is that driving through the farm?’”
“His Ass Shaking Has Made Us A Lot Of Money”
During an appearance on Jay Cutler’s podcast, Uncut with Jay Cutler, in 2021, Caroline joked about how her husband’s dance moves have positively affected the family’s finances.
“Luke’s ass and his ass shaking has made us a lot of money,” she joked, adding that she’s “used” to some fans seeing Bryan as a “sex symbol,” in Cutler’s words.
“I’m not worried about it. It comes with the territory,” she said. “As long as [fans] are respectful, then whatever.”
Cutler also asked Caroline whether she’d ever had to confront any fans who have crossed the line with her husband, to which Caroline replied that “there’s only been a couple.” “Just don’t touch, don’t grab,” she said.
Hip Shaking Dance Moves Are Currently On Hold
Bryan’s hip shaking is currently on hold as the singer has been forced to postpone or cancel several shows on his Country On Tour due to illness.
Furthermore, earlier this month, Luke Bryan postponed or canceled three shows in three days due to a head cold, which he had been battling for weeks.
The American Idol judge pushed through to get back on stage for two shows last Thursday and Saturday but discovered he wasn’t where he wanted to be and canceled a show in Brandon, Mississippi on Monday on the morning of the concert.
“Dear Brandon, MS I am regretfully going to have to cancel my show there tonight,” Bryan wrote to fans. “Under doctor advisement after taking 6 days off to heal I attempted to sing at both shows Thursday and Saturday and it was a struggle. Every show I sing I’m setting my voice back. I will continue to do everything I can to get better. Please know how much you mean to me and how heartbreaking this is to do.”
Country On Tour, The Farm Tour
Additionally, Luke Bryan’s Country On Tour runs through October 28, though he’ll take a break in September for a series of dates on his Las Vegas residency as well as his annual Farm Tour.
In January, the 47-year-old will wrap up his residency at Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas after nearly two years with final shows on December 29, 30 and 31 and January 3, 5 and 6.
