Luke Bryan nearly set his home a blaze last week before the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, October 21.

The country superstar showed fans a burnt pot with charred white brick wall on his property that he says he is the blame for, following a grease fire.

“Well, Bo looked outside, saw a grease fire. That’s what happens when you don’t cut the grease off. Good job dad,” Bryan explained in a video clip on Instagram.

Bryan captioned the video clip “Burning down the house” while also tagging his wife Caroline Bryan. She quickly replied in a comment saying “Not my fault.”

The “Down To One” singer brought home one CMT Music Award at the awards show for Male Video Of The Year with his video for “One Margarita.” He also gave a stunning performance of his 24th consecutive No. 1 single “What She Wants Tonight” during the show.

The 2020 CMT Music Awards aired Wednesday night (Oct. 21) on CMT and featured performances from Bryan as well as Ashley McBryde, Dan + Shay, Jimmie Allen, Noah Cyrus, Kelsea Ballerini, Halsey, Little Big Town, Luke Combs, Brooks & Dunn, Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Morgan Wallen, Sam Hunt, Shania Twain, Caylee Hammack, HARDY, Ingrid Andress, Mickey Guyton, Riley Green and Travis Denning.
