Luke Bryan mistaken for Blake Shelton on a television show and Bryan has now reacted!

During Bryan’s Wednesday (April 28) night appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 2021 ACM Entertainer of the Year talked about his deluxe album, his upcoming Proud To Be Right Here Tour, American Idol, when a news outlet falsely labeled him as Blake Shelton and more.

Fallon showed Bryan a photo of one of his recent Instagram posts where he shared a screenshot of a news broadcast that mislabeled him as Blake Shelton and Fallon asked him about it.

“You post this Instagram post that made me laugh really hard,” Fallon told the “Down To One” singer. “Your quote was ‘I gotta work harder,’ and it’s a picture of you on some television show but underneath you it says Blake Shelton. That’s classic, come on you work this hard, you have how many No. 1’s, you’re like you think I’m Blake Shelton.”

“That’s the former sexiest man alive right there on his couch,” Bryan said to Fallon laughing before Fallon said “Obviously, you must know Blake.”

Bryan went on to explain that before he shared the aforementioned photo to Instagram, he actually reached out and sent it to Shelton.

“Yeah, I think before I even posted on Instagram I sent it to Blake and I’m like, I mean my life is pretty much over after this point, I mean. You know Blake just chooses to go grey. He just chooses to like a silver fox, you know I got a lot of Just For Men and hair product.”

He continued, “I work hard on this. And I still can’t separate from Blake, it’s just a shame.”

Later in the show Bryan played a game of Singing Whisper Challenge with Fallon. The pair played a social-distancing version of the whisper challenge, where they take turns guessing the titles of random songs while wearing noise-canceling headphones.

You can watch the game below.

Additionally, Bryan is set to embark on his just-announced Proud To Be Right Here Summer Tour with support from Dylan Scott, Caylee Hammack, Runaway June and DJ Rock. The tour kicks off in July and run through October.
