As generations of fans eagerly await the arrival of the Jonas Brother’s sixth full-length album titled, The Album, the band dropped another look into the upcoming project with their highly-anticipated new single, “Waffle House.”

Released Friday, April 7, via Republic Records, the upbeat tune offers an honest look into the careers of this sibling trio, which have continued to thrive, despite taking a six-year hiatus to explore their own journeys.

Now that the brothers Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas has been back together as a band since 2019, they’ve taken the time to reflect on their early days of managing success as teens and how that translates into their adult years. As we find out in this new song, many of their important conversations throughout the years have taken place at the popular diner chain, Waffle House, but the story goes deeper.

“Growing up, we would go to Waffle House after shows, and it became our sanctuary. It was the place we dreamt up ideas, the place where we worked through our problems together, and the place where we finally realized we could find our way through anything as long as we came together,” the band said of the song.

“‘Waffle House’ was born from a simple but powerful idea: When you sit down with the people that matter most, anything is possible,” they continued. “This song isn’t about a restaurant, it’s about coming together with the people you love and making your dreams come true.”

Between their effortlessly fluid harmonies and addicting melody, this tribute to brotherhood and the power of a strong support system has created the perfect recipe for a windows down pop anthem.

“No, don’t get stressed, it’s gon’ get figured out / Oh, deep conversations at the Waffle House / Headstrong father and a determined mother / Oh, that’s why some nights we try to kill each other / But you know it’s always love,” they sing in the chorus.

Will Soon Appear As Musical Guest On Saturday Night Live

Fans first fell in love with “Waffle House” through snippets shared to social media. However, a select group got the chance to hear an early preview of the entire song as well as the new album during one show of the sold-out, five-night concert series that the Jonas Brothers held from March 14-18 in NYC.

In celebration of their new single release, the band will join The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to give an update on all the exciting things they have in store. Then, they will appear as the musical guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live on April 8th alongside host Molly Shannon. The show will air live on NBC and Peacock.

The Album

The GRAMMY Award-winning trio will officially launch their next record on May 12. The Album will feature a collection of 12 tracks including “Waffle House” and the other previously released song, “Wings,” which marked the start to a new chapter for the band.  Fans got a glimpse of the project through the band’s cinematic album trailer, which was executive produced by Jon Bellion.

“Last year, we went back into the studio to record our first new album in four years,” they said in the opening clip. “A lot’s changed since Happiness Begins was released. We’ve grown as a family, and in turn, we’ve grown as human beings.”

Following some heartfelt words by each of the brothers, Joe said, “I feel like we’re just tapping into something really special.”

“This is the story of where the Jonas Brothers are in 2023,” they continued. “As husbands, as fathers, as brothers. It’s no secret that we have the best fans in the world. Your dedication, support and love is what keeps us going every single day. It may sound cliché, but we truly do feel that this is our best body of work yet. So here’s to The Album era, and the many more memories to be made as we continue on this journey. All of us, together.”

The Album marks Jonas Brothers’ first body of work since 2019’s Platinum-Certified Happiness Begins, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the GRAMMY® Award-nominated, 5x-Platinum, Billboard Hot 100 #1 smash hit “Sucker.”
