Devlin “Duck” Hodges is many things — a former NFL quarterback, Lainey Wilson‘s fiancé, an expert duck caller — and he’s now adding lifestyle golf brand owner to his resumé. Hodges revealed that he is preparing to launch a golf lifestyle brand called Club Country, opening up about his new project in a video on the brand’s Instagram page.

Hodges said that he came up with the idea for the brand about two years after he stopped playing football. “I started playing golf, fell in love with golf, and every time I’d go to a country club, it’d be guys golfing in a polo without the shoes, or it’d be like a skeet shooting facility on the property,” he recalled. “And there was this one moment I was like, ‘Man, this ain’t a country club. This club country.’ And that’s where the idea sparked.”

The 29-year-old believes that Club Country will fill the space in the golf world for men who play golf and also enjoy outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. Hodges explained that he didn’t feel there was a brand out there that catered to men who enjoy multiple types of outdoor activities like golfing and hunting, which tend to have different associates. With Club Country, he hopes to blend it all together.

“There’s so many guys I know that play golf that love to hunt and fish, and they might rather buy a Club Country shirt because of who it represents,” he explained. “Whether they’re golfing, they’re going to dinner, going to church, they have the opportunity to wear their shirt to all that.”

While the brand will sell apparel, Hodges wants Club Country to mean “more” than that and bring its customers into a new community “that values quality, values attention to detail, allowing anybody to be a part of it.”

“We got this saying, ‘If you’re out, you’re in.’ So if you’re outdoors, you’re in,” he said. “And also, if you feel like you’re outside that lifestyle, come be in and come be a part of it. It’s the lifestyle that I’ve lived my whole life, it’s a lifestyle that I’ll continue to live my whole life, and I hope you come live this lifestyle with me.”

In another video, Hodges revealed that he doesn’t want to think of his brand’s success in terms of how much money it may eventually be worth, but rather how often he sees people wearing it while out and about.

“In five years, I think it’s going to be cool to be able to go walk into a pretty sweet golf course that I’ve played or that’s a destination course that I want to go play at and walk in and see Club Country in the pro shop,” he said. “I’d love to go to the airport in five years and see people wearing club country hats, go to concerts, go to football games, go out to the bar in Nashville one night and people have Club Country polos on.”

To Hodges, Club Country is “so much more than just an apparel brand.” “I just want to see people that are already part of this lifestyle start to recognize, ‘Man, there’s a brand out there that represents who I am, represents this lifestyle I live,’” he explained. “And if you want to come join that Club Country lifestyle, come on.”

Club Country will launch on February 6, 2026, a date inspired by the number of followers the brand achieved on Instagram (2,626) before making its official launch announcement.
