Lainey Wilson‘s discography is only growing, but her fiancé, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, has his favorite songs locked down. Speaking to Pat Spinosa on the Like a Farmer Podcast, Hodges revealed his three favorite songs by his fiancée, at least until she writes another one inspired by him.

“No order, but they’re going to be the three that’s about me,” Hodges joked, starting his list off with Wilson’s “Counting Chickens” and “4X4XU.” After a laugh, he revised his selections, though he did keep “4X4XU” in the top three.

“This is tough. It’s hard for me to say because there are so many songs that are unreleased that are coming that I like,” the former NFL quarterback revealed. “But ones that are released, ‘4X4XU,’ ‘Watermelon Moonshine’ and then I’m a big fan of ‘Wildflowers and Wild Horses.’ It gets me pumped. I would’ve listened to that before a game if I was still playing.”

Hodges is also likely a fan of Wilson’s “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day,” which tells the story of their first date.

“Our first date, I came to Nashville, picked her up. We went to go eat dinner at this restaurant called Moby Dicky’s, it’s up in Hendersonville on the water, great hang,” he recalled. “And then we went to this bar that shut down about a month after we went on a first date, and you’ll see why here in a second. You paid $5 a person, it was all you can drink beer, all you can drink wine and line dancing. That’s all it was.”

“So we went there on our first date, and it was me, her, and then I think 10 of her friends,” Hodges continued. “We might’ve shut down that place ourselves. I don’t know,” he said. “I remember we went there from our first date until they shut down. We probably went there four or five times and every time it was $5 all you can drink beer, all you can drink wine, line dancing.”

Hodges and Wilson began dating in 2021, taking their relationship public in 2023 and announcing their engagement in February of this year. During his podcast appearance, Hodges revealed that their wedding will likely take place in Spring or Summer 2026, though Wilson joked to PEOPLE in August 2025 that “trying to wrangle me in is, it’s a lot.”

When she’s not busy with her music career, Wilson shared that she plans to make time for wedding planning, starting with her dress. “I need to go dress shopping, or I need to talk to somebody about making a dress,” she said. “I need to go get fitted. How about that? That’s the first step.”

Hodges and Wilson aren’t in a rush to plan their nuptials, though Wilson told PEOPLE in August that she was hoping to start the process of finding her dress and wants the final result to bring Hodges to tears. “I’m excited to just step outside of the box and see what happens,” she said. “So hopefully when he sees me, he’ll be boohooing.” The 33-year-old Louisiana native also added a few compliments for her fiancé, who she called her “biggest cheerleader.”

“The sky is the limit, that’s how he acts about everything,” she explained. “He’s just the place that I get to call home, and I’m lucky to have him, and I think he’s pretty dang lucky to have me, too.”
