Koe Wetzel has been living life in the fast lane lately. The country rocker recently launched his The Night Champion World Tour in support of his new album of the same name, which arrived on June 12 via Columbia Records. Just weeks later, Wetzel followed that up with an expanded deluxe edition featuring five additional tracks, released on June 26.
While the 33-year-old singer-songwriter has been busy touring and releasing new music, his personal life has also undergone major changes. And although the Texas native welcomes any chance to slow down, this summer doesn’t exactly leave much room for downtime.

Between rehearsals, media appearances, recording commitments, and nightly performances, rest has become somewhat of a luxury for the “High Road” singer. During a recent interview with Music Mayhem at CMA Fest 2026 in downtown Nashville, Wetzel admitted that sleep has become one of his favorite ways to spend a day off.
“These days, it looks a lot like sleep just because we’ve been going so much. We’re traveling a lot right now, doing a lot of PR and stuff for the record and then in between playing shows and rehearsing for the tour,” he shared. “But yeah, a day off is hanging with my girls, probably going and getting nine holes of golf in if I can, and just relaxing and enjoying the day.”
Those “girls” are his fiancée, Bailey Fisher, and the couple’s one-year-old daughter, Woods Madison Wetzel. Back in April, Wetzel announced his engagement to Fisher in a joint Instagram post featuring a carousel of family photos alongside the caption, “It’s always been us💍.” The pair, who first met in college, have known each other for years and rekindled their relationship roughly two years ago.
“Yeah, she’s a great woman, man. She’s the mother of my daughter. She’s my best friend,” Wetzel said of Fisher. “We’ve kind of been on and off for a while. We kind of rekindled everything about two years ago and, man, like I said, she’s a great mother.”
He continued, “She’s just somebody I can talk to about anything, man. And we know a lot about each other, so it’s really cool, and it felt like it was finally time to take that step. I’m glad I get to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Outside of fatherhood and wedding plans, Wetzel has also embraced a major lifestyle transformation. Over the last couple of years, fans have noticed a significant change in the Texas native’s appearance and energy, prompting conversations online about his health and wellness journey.
According to Wetzel, the shift didn’t happen overnight. Instead, it came gradually through fatherhood, maturity, and a changing perspective on life.
“So I’m getting a lot more sleep, that’s for sure. Usually I’m waking up around 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. these days,” he explained. “Whenever I used to, I’d be going to bed at 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. That baby girl I got has changed a lot for me, and it kind of made my perspective on life a lot bigger and greater.”

Woods Madison, he says, has become the center of his world, and the driving force behind many of the healthier choices he’s making today.
“But yeah, getting in the gym probably five days a week, trying to get the heart rate above 140 for at least an hour every day, eating super healthy and, like I said, not drinking as much,” Wetzel shared. “Just kind of locking in and really being focused, and it’s kind of spilled over into my music and everything else and every aspect of my life. So it’s really cool these days.”
That renewed focus appears to be influencing not only his personal life but also his career, as Wetzel launches the U.S. and Canadian leg of his The Night Champion World Tour, which kicks off on July 8. The trek features support from Shane Smith & The Saints, Ole 60, Wyatt Flores, Corey Kent, Wade Bowen, Bayker Blankenship, Kolby Cooper, and Logan Jahnke on select dates.
