Kenny Chesney has an anniversary to celebrate, specifically for his alcohol brand, Blue Chair Bay Rum.

Chesney is marking the spirit’s milestone by releasing a limited run of 8,400 bottles of 16-year aged rum from the U.S. Virgin Islands, with 1,800 bottles available for presale on Wednesday, August 16 at 12pm CT at BlueChairBayRum.com.

$59.99 Per Bottle

In addition, the bottles will be available at select stores beginning in September with a MSRP of $59.99.

“Ten years? Time flies when you’re having fun, I guess,” Chesney shared in a statement. “But to celebrate a decade of Blue Chair Bay Rum, I wanted to do something really awesome to mark all the work of so many great people. So, we scoured the world looking for a rum that reflected all that Blue Chair Bay is, and more. And as all good pirates know: search and you will find! We unearthed 20 barrels of rum from the USVI that’s been barrel-aged for an almost unheard of 16 years.”

Kenny Chesney Launched Blue Chair Bay Rum In 2013

Launched in 2013, Blue Chair Bay Rum was another way for Chesney to bring his beach-adjacent lifestyle to his fans. Blue Chair Bay Rum is a collection of premium-blended rums created on the shores of the Caribbean and inspired by Chesney’s love of the islands, reflecting the singer’s commitment to the Caribbean and made using natural ingredients.

“I started Blue Chair Bay because I wanted a rum made with natural ingredients that came from the islands and reflected the way my friends and I come together for work and play,” the 55-year-old explained. “We worked hard creating the flavor profiles, and we’ve had a ball taking these spirits and cocktails out to the world.”

The Tennessee native added that starting the company “was a crazy dream.”

“But I had a sense of what I wanted: a liquid that distilled a perfect day on the water, in the islands,” he said. “For anyone who’s ever dreamed of those kinds of days or nights, I wanted something that captured that feeling.”

Selling Over 200,000 Cases Annually

Blue Chair Bay Rum is one of the most successful independent spirits brands and the largest rum brand in America not owned by a major spirits company with sales of over 200,000 cases annually.

It is a Beverage Information Group four-time Growth Brand and Rising Star Award-winner and a three-time Impact Magazine Hot Prospects Award winner and has earned over 25 Gold ratings from competitions across the country.

Chesney brings his brand on the road with him and recently wrapped up his I Go Back 2023 Tour with support from Kelsea Ballerini.

“I wanted to bring all the power and all of the passion that we have at those stadium shows,” Chesney said after the tour’s first show in March. “I want every single person who’s in the room to know how much we love them, to feel as good as they’ve ever felt, and to go home hoarse from the cheering and singing. Charlottesville, Virginia, sure made the opening night feel like the biggest stadiums.”

Last month, he took a break from stadiums and gave an impromptu performance at Capt. Tony’s Saloon in Key West, performing in a white t-shirt and shorts with an acoustic guitar.

Chesney used social media to share a clip of himself singing his hit duet with Grace Potter, “You and Tequila,” captioning the video, “Feeding my creative soul at Capt. Tony’s. Thanks to everyone for allowing me to sit in.”
