Kelsea Ballerini slayed a cover of Fleetwood Mac!

On Thursday, July 1, during CMT’s Campfire Sessions, joined by several bandmates, Ballerini wowed viewers with an incredible rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s hit “Dreams,” channeling her inner Stevie Nicks.

“We were asked to play a cover and it was a very quick decision to play this song because one of my favorite things I’ve gotten to do in my whole career is CMT Crossroads,” Ballerini explained before going into her flawless cover of the popular Fleetwood Mac hit. “I got to do that a couple years ago with my friend Halsey and we covered this song. And I’ve always loved this song but I loved doing that cover with her.”

“I can’t believe I’m going to say this but it’s kind of had a resurgence this last year on the TikTok,” Ballerini continued. “So, now the kids know what Fleetwood Mac’s been up to this whole time. But yeah, it’s had a resurgence because there’s a guy on a skateboard with some cranberry juice and it like went to No. 1 on the charts again and I love this song. So, I felt like it was fitting to do it tonight.”

“Dreams” is an iconic track that appears on Fleetwood Mac’s eleventh studio album, Rumours (1977). The song was the second single from the aforementioned album.

Additionally, the 1-hour covers edition of CMT’s Campfire Sessions also featured performances from Kane Brown & Restless Road (Blake Shelton’s “Ol’ Red”), Brothers Osborne (Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again”), Lady A (Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide”), Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, Jon Randall (Jerry Jeff Walker “Up Against A Wall Redneck Mother”), Keb’ Mo (Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me”) and Trisha Yearwood (Linda Ronstadt’s “When Will I Be Loved”).
