Dolly Parton is gearing up for her big night as co-host at the 57th Academy Of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) on Monday, March 7. Not only will Parton be co-hosting the coveted awards ceremony alongside Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen, but the country icon will also take to the stage for a special performance with Kelsea Ballerini.
On Tuesday (Mar. 1), Ballerini took to Instagram to share a selfie from the 2022 ACM Awards rehearsals alongside Parton. The photo features Ballerini and Parton posing cheek to cheek with big smiles on their faces.
“Just a couple of east Tennessee girls getting ready to sing together at the @acmawards 👯♀️😍🤠👑😭✨,” Ballerini captioned the photo.
Parton, 76, and Ballerini, 28, are set to take the stage at the 2022 ACM Awards to perform “Big Dreams and Faded Jeans,” a track from Parton’s upcoming album, Run, Rose, Run, out on March 4 via Butterfly Records in partnership with Ingrooves/UMG.
“So honored, 🤍👑” Ballerini previously shared of the opportunity to perform with Parton.
Co-produced by Parton alongside Richard Dennison and Tom Rutledge, the 12-track album will accompany her original novel of the same name. Co-written by Parton and James Patterson, the novel hit shelves on March 7 and tells the story of a young woman who relocates to Nashville to pursue her musical dreams.
During the 2022 ACM Awards, Parton will also be honored by superstar Kelly Clarkson, who will perform a tribute to the “9 to 5” singer.
Previously announced performers also include co-hosts Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen, Jason Aldean, Breakthrough Artist for Amazon Music, BRELAND (“Praise The Lord”), Kane Brown (“Leave You Alone”), Luke Bryan (“Up”), Eric Church, Jordan Davis (“Buy Dirt,” feat Luke Bryan), Walker Hayes, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Parmalee and Blanco Brown featuring Brooke Eden (“Just The Way”), Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde (“Never Wanted to Be That Girl”), Thomas Rhett, Brittney Spencer, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Young (“Raised on Country”) featuring Mitchell Tenpenny (“At the End of a Bar”).
The two-hour show, featuring more than 20 performances, will stream live without commercial interruption from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards streams live on Prime Video, Monday, March 7 at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST/5 p.m. PST.
