Kelsea Ballerini and her boyfriend Outer Banks star Chase Stokes turned heads on the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) red carpet on Tuesday (Sept. 12).

The country superstar stepped out in style alongside Stokes, wearing matching fiery red outfits. The ultra bold look was perfect for celebrating Kelsea’s 30th birthday, which happened to fall on the same day as this year’s VMAs.

“Thank you for coming to my birthday party. I’m having such a nice time. This is incredible,” the talented singer-songwriter joked in an interview during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show.

Ballerini’s look was perfect for being the center of attention, rocking a jaw-dropping red halter gown with a keyhole cutout in the front, along with some chunky gold bangles — she looked so sexy and sleek!

“Huge Year In My Personal Life And In My Career”

After sharing some smooches with her man on the pink carpet and snapping some to-die-for photos, the birthday girl proceeded to share some of her feelings about being at this prestigious award show with one of the hosts of the MTV VMAs pre-show, Kevan Kenney.

“I’m overstimulated in every way,” Ballerini gushed. “Just to be able to perform on an all-genre show like this and represent country music hopefully well, but also just myself. I feel like it’s been such a huge year in my personal life and in my career, and I feel really happy to be able to just present that tonight on this show and be here.”

She then transitioned to talking about her performance that is set to occur later in the night. “It’s kind of a visual magic trick representation of going from where I was when I wrote it to where I am now,” she teased, and we seriously can’t wait to see it for ourselves.
