Kane Brown and wife Katelyn Brown are currently expecting their third child, a boy, and Katelyn gave fans an update on how she’s been doing and teased baby names during a recent Instagram Q&A.

Katelyn Gives Pregnancy Update

The Browns’ new baby will join older sisters Kingsley Rose, 4, and Kodi Jane, 2, and Katelyn told one fan who asked whether her third pregnancy felt any different from her first two that “so far it has been the exact same!”

Opens Up About Baby Names: Will They Keep The KB Initials?

She also gave a hint on her son’s name, revealing that she and Kane “absolutely” plan to keep the tradition of giving their children names that start with “K.” “We’ve committed and can’t stop now,” she responded to a fan who asked if they would stick with the theme. “We have a good idea of the name but would love to hear more! Feel free to share!!”

Kane and Katelyn shared their latest pregnancy announcement on Christmas Day, posting a family photo that featured all four Browns sitting on a couch in front of a Christmas tree in cream-colored outfits that coordinated with the furniture and the tree’s decor, a smiling Kingsley holding an ultrasound photo of the new baby. “Last Christmas of 4,” Kane captioned the sweet snap. “Merry Christmas everyone!!”

The Browns’ Gender Reveal: “It’s A Boy!”

On January 9, the Browns revealed that their new addition will be a boy, sharing an Instagram Reel in which they cut into a cake with the help of their daughters. The video begins with Katelyn asking her husband what she thinks they’re having, to which Kane replies, “It’s a girl.”

Katelyn then tells Kingsley that they have a surprise. “We know if the baby in mommy’s tummy is a boy or a girl,” she tells her. “Do you want to find out?”

The camera pans to a white cake covered in bumblebees that reads, “What will baby bee?” as Katelyn tells Kingsley, “See that cake right there? So it’s either pink or blue in the middle. Do you want to cut into it with us?”

To cut into the cake, Kane and Katelyn used wine glasses, Katelyn getting an assist from Kingsley as she put the glass in the cake to find that the inside was blue. As Katelyn screamed in excitement, an exhilarated Kane put his arms up in the air, a big smile on his face while Katelyn hugged Kingsley and Kane wrapped his arms around Kodi.

“Gender Reveal !!!!!!!!!” Kane captioned the clip, which ended with the words, “Baby boy Brown coming 2024.”

Kept Previous Pregnancy A Total Secret

Kingsley was born in October 2019 and Kodi in December 2021. Katelyn kept her pregnancy with Kodi a secret, surprising fans when she and Kane revealed they had welcomed their second daughter.

In an Instagram post just after Kodi’s birth, Katelyn opened up about choosing to keep her pregnancy private, writing that “These past 9 months have been so sacred and special to me.”

“Choosing to keep my pregnancy quiet was the best decision I’ve ever made,” she continued. “Soaking in special moments with my daughter and husband without the influence of social media and outside world made this time that much more intimate and unforgettable. Thank you for all the kind messages and love. I am so grateful and blessed to be these little girls mama and can not wait to raise strong, confident, sweet little ladies with you @kanebrown_music … you are the man we all look up to.”
