CMT Artists of the Year honoree, Kane Brown sat down with ET Canada earlier this month (Oct. 6) to share how his baby girl changed his life for the better. Kicking off the vulnerable interview, the country singer revealed that he was not much of a baby person until he had Kingsley Rose with his wife, Katelyn Jae Brown.

“I would say I was never a big baby person, then I had my baby,” says the country music powerhouse while laughing. “It just changed the way I look at other babies now. Especially, the ones who used to be the size of her when she was an infant. I just want to hold them, just to remember how it felt like,” he adds.

Brown quickly received baby fever back in 2019 when he welcomed his little girl to the world. Before his wife gave birth, he exclusively told US Weekly that he was destined to be a girl dad because he grew up surrounded by female energy.

“I grew up with all females. I’m having a girl. So, I feel like I know most of it,” the singer confessed. “Hopefully, I don’t get surprised too much. And I love my dad, but I haven’t really had a father figure…so I’m going to try and do everything that I can to be the best Dad that I can be.”

Fast-forward to the present day, and Brown has practiced what he preached. Now, the “One Mississippi” singer has his father duties down pat – as he tries to set a good example for his daughter and shape her young mind and soul.

“I just want her to know that I am just trying to be the best I can be,” the hitmaker told ET Canada during a recent interview. “Basically, just teach her that she can do anything that she puts her mind to and just respect everybody.”

The happy couple has always been vocal about their parenting and has not shied away from featuring their toddler on social media. In fact, Brown recently gave his followers a daily dose of joy with a precious clip of Kingsley dancing on stage before his concert in Dallas, Texas.

“Dallas, I hope Y’all are ready tonight because Kingsley Rose Is 🔥❤️,” he captioned the video. With neon purple lights flashing in the background, the star in the making took center stage to bust a move. Sporting an adorable graphic long sleeve shirt, a pink statement bow, and protective headphones – the 23-month-old danced to the beat of her own drum with her megastar father by her side.

“She’s too cool for us babe,” teases Katelyn Brown in the comments. “@kanebrown_music Oh My goodness 😍 How adorable! Taking after Dada already ❤️ You and @Katelynbrown made the most beautiful baby ever,” a fan included.

While music-goers gushed over the budding performer – one was curious if she ever watched her father dominate the stage. “Has she ever seen you *Kane* perform on stage?” The multi-platinum artist was quick to respond and said, “Not yet. Passed bedtime haha.”

Until she is older enough to strut on stage with her superstar father, they will have to remain utilizing downtime before the stadium seats fill up with eager fans. “I have learned to be patient, and I’ve also learned that there’s true love. And if anybody ever got between me and my daughter, I don’t know what would go on,” Kane told PEOPLE back in March about their strong bond. “She’s super chill. Kind of like me, just laid back, and if she gets mad, she’s super easy to cheer up real quick.”

While Kane Brown juggles his flourishing music career and fatherhood, he inspires not just his young daughter but also his loyal fan base to strive for greatness. His ever-lasting impact on the industry did not go unnoticed, as he recently scored placement on the 2021 TIME 100 annual list. The prestigious roundup highlights the most influential people in the world.

He shared with ET Canada that young children from different walks of life have recently opened up to him and his team about feeling out of place when listening to country. “It is something I am so grateful to be a part of,” he shared about his honor. “I have had a lot of different kids come up to me and say that they look different and that they like country music, but feel out of place when they listen to it. So, it has been cool just to represent something different in country music.”

Kane’s name is listed alongside other powerful individuals, including – Dolly Parton, Simone Biles, Shonda Rhimes, Naomi Osaka, Tom Brady, Elon Musk, Billie Eilish, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle.

With new music under his belt and with the support of his family, the award-winning artist has recently kicked off his Blessed & Free Tour. Tickets to see Kane and his “Famous Friends” Jordan Davis, Chase Rice, and Restless Road live and in-person are currently available for purchase.
