Directed by Shaun Silva, the “Cowboys And Plowboys” video was filmed outside Nashville and in California on Pardi’s farms and features Rodeo Champions such as Kyle Lockett, Bert McGill, Dallas Owen, Dakota Eldridge, Jordan Ketscher, Shelby Cole, Jaylee McGill, and Wayce McGill. The clip also includes Jon Pardi’s pregnant wife, Summer, and daughter, Presley, as well as Luke Bryan’s wife, Caroline, and their dog, Choc.

“We had a great time filming this out on the farm,” Pardi wrote.

Everything You Need To Know About “Cowboys And Plowboys”

Co-written by Rhett Akins, Cole Taylor and Jacob Rice, “Cowboys And Plowboys” finds Pardi and Bryan drawing comparisons between cowboys and farmers, highlighting the distinctions between the two, over a very country production that even includes a fiddle and traditional country sounds.

“I wear a 20X American hat / A gold buckle from a rodeo,” Pardi sings, detailing his cowboy roots, before Bryan details his lifestyle as a farmer, “I wear a dusty old co-op cap / Make my livin’ on them old turn rows.”

The pair then come to the realization that their lifestyles aren’t much different and are in fact very similar as they join together on the boot-tapping chorus.

“Cowboys and plowboys / Just some good old small-town boys / Both make the world go ’round boys / Boy, ain’t that the truth / Yeah, we got different roots, we wear different boots / But we ain’t that different when the day is through / So, here’s to the cowboys and plowboys like me and you / Just like me and you,” Pardi and Bryan sing on the chorus of the tune, which is destined to quickly climb the charts at Country radio.

Jon And Luke Are The Perfect Pairing For The Track

Luke Bryan immediately resonated with the tune upon hearing it and knew he had to be a part of the song.

“When the writers sent this song, I couldn’t stop listening to it, and I’m so glad it worked out for Pardi to be the one I got to sing it with,” Bryan added. “He is one of the most genuine artists I know. What you see is truly what you get, and I respect what he continues to build.”

Jon Pardi credits Luke Bryan as an inspiration and someone who has always supported him throughout his career.

“I’ve always looked up to Luke as a songwriter and an artist, and he’s a great friend. We’ve been on tour together, and he’s been someone that has inspired me along the way and always had my back. We’ve been excited to put this song out for a long time, and I can’t wait for people to hear it,” Pardi explained.

“Cowboys And Plowboys” impacted Country radio on October 16 and follows Pardi’s sixth No. 1 hit, “Your Heart Or Mine.” The new single marks Pardi’s first new music since the release of his fourth studio album, Mr. Saturday Night.
